  • Patent number: 10659033
Abstract: A power supply system for USB Power Delivery includes a current source drive circuit to control a power FET to regulate the supply of power along a power path. The current source drive circuit includes a cascode current source and a cascode protection circuit formed by a source follower and a feedback voltage divider. The source follower can be a transistor with its gate connected to a cascode node between upper- and lower-stage transistors of the cascode current source. The divider node of the voltage divider is connected to the gate of the lower-stage transistor. The current source drive circuit can operate within the gate-source voltage specifications of 30-volt DEPMOS devices, and can provide high output impedance to the gate of power FET and a current limit circuit during current limiting operation, without requiring an extra high-voltage mask during fabrication.

  • Publication number: 20190256237
Abstract: A labelling apparatus for labelling a tray while the tray is conveyed by a conveyor means. A label feeder device is configured to place a label onto a top surface of the tray. A first tucker device is arranged sidewise to the conveyor means and includes an applicator block. A first moving mechanism is configured to move the applicator block in a back and forth direction perpendicular to the conveying direction of the tray. The applicator block is movable from an initial position to a labelling position where the applicator block presses the portion of the label exceeding a side surface of the tray such that the applicator block follows the shape of the side surface of the tray via a rotational movement of the applicator block around the rotation axis.

  • Publication number: 20190146013
Abstract: A current-sense ratio calibration system includes a power field effect transistor (FET) integrated circuit (IC) that includes a regulator FET to regulate current through a power path and a sense FET to provide a sense current to a sense path. The regulator FET and sense FET have an intended current-sense ratio. The system calibrates the current-sense ratio by applying proportioned stimulus signals to the power and sense paths, the proportion being the intended current-sense ratio. The calibration circuitry compares a measurement of a sense path circuit parameter made during the stimulus application to a measurement of the parameter made not during the stimulus application to derive an error term used to calibrate for any sources of error in the current-sense ratio.

  • Publication number: 20190131785
Abstract: A power circuit having a reverse voltage recovery boost circuit that speeds up a recovery time of the power circuit after a reverse voltage condition has cleared is provided. The power circuit includes a reverse voltage detector that detects the reverse voltage condition. After the reverse voltage condition clears, the reverse voltage recovery boost circuit transfers a portion of power to one transistor that is stored in another transistor thereby transitioning the one transistor from a non-conductive state to a conductive state, which allows a transfer of power from the input voltage to the output voltage.

  • Publication number: 20180072388
Abstract: A floating cover for a body of water has a flexible, impermeable substrate with a bottom face and a top face opposite the bottom face. The substrate is secured laterally across the surface of the body of water while being permitted to move vertically as the level of the body of water changes. A float is affixed to the bottom face of the substrate and a structure is rigidly mounted above the float. The structure extends above the top face of the substrate. The substrate is sealed between the float and the structure. The buoyant force of the float acts against the weight of the structure to maintain the substrate immediately adjacent to the float above the top surface of the body of water so as not to interfere with precipitation drainage.

  • Publication number: 20170193837
Abstract: A method/apparatus/system for generating a recommendation based on user interactions with nodes and associated tasks within a prerequisite graph. The recommendation is generated by identifying the user's current position within the prerequisite graph and identifying potential next nodes to which the user could move. Based on the user's past interactions with nodes and/or tasks within the prerequisite graph, the user's likelihood of successfully completing the potential next node is calculated, and a recommendation is made based on this calculated likelihood of the user successfully completing the potential next node.
