  • Publication number: 20120096777
Abstract: The present invention relates to support structures including truss assemblies and purlins, the truss assemblies including struts, wherein utilities such as pipes and cables can be contained within the purlins, and can pass through openings in the struts, to thereby be retained by the support structures so as to be hidden from view.

  • Publication number: 20120090251
Abstract: A building panel and a building formed therefrom, where the building includes a plurality of building panels arranged to form a cylindrical shape, where each panel comprises a single, or monolithic, glass piece, where each glass piece is substantially rectangular and includes two opposing long sides extending in a height direction and two opposing short sides extending substantially in a width direction, and where each glass piece forms an identical circular arc when viewed from either of the two opposing short sides.

  • Publication number: 20110293190
Abstract: Image data defining a reference image and each input image in a sequence of images is processed to detect changes in the images. A value is calculated for each pixel defining the spatial rate of change of homogeneity of the image data at that pixel. Different regions of pixels in each image are selected and the values within each region are concatenated to define a vector for each region. The vectors are then processed to compare corresponding regions in each image. The results of the comparison define a correlation map identifying areas in the images in which change has occurred.

  • Publication number: 20080049546
Abstract: A material transfer device, in particular for use with blenders associated with a material processing device such as a plastics extruding device. The material transfer device can be used for controlling delivery of measured amounts of particulate material to or from a weigh hopper, or for mixing materials in a mixing chamber of the blender. The material transfer device includes a pipe defining a material delivery path. The pipe has a material inlet and a material outlet. An air inlet manifold encircling the pipe is connected by an air supply line to a pressurised air supply. Air outlets of the manifold direct an air stream towards the outlet of the pipe to draw material through the pipe from a hopper of particulate material, the pipe inlet being located within the hopper. An air inlet valve in the air supply line is connected to a controller which is operable to open and shut the valve for pulsing the gas stream to control the amount of material delivered through the pipe.

  • Publication number: 20060052869
Abstract: Apparatus and method for cutting an IOL optic from an IOL blank whereby the resultant IOL optic has a square edge and the cutting is performed in a combined linear and rotational cutting movement. In another aspect, an IOL optic is provided which includes a square edge and helically shaped striations formed therein to help reduce glare.

  • Publication number: 20050201199
Abstract: The invention relates to a material transfer device (1), in particular for use with blenders associated with a material processing device such as a plastics extruding device. The material transfer device (1) can be used for controlling delivery of measured amounts of particulate material to or from a weigh hopper, or for mixing materials in a mixing chamber of the blender. The material transfer device (1) includes a pipe (2) defining a material delivery path. The pipe (2) has a material inlet (4) and a material outlet (5). An air inlet manifold (10) encircling the pipe (2) is connected by an air supply line (14) to a pressurised air supply. Air outlets (12) of the manifold (10) direct an air stream towards the outlet (5) of the pipe (2) to draw material through the pipe (2) from a hopper (6) of particulate material (7), the pipe inlet (4) being located within the hopper (6).
