  • Publication number: 20240074013
Abstract: A lighting fixture appears as a skylight and is referred to as a skylight fixture. First and second light engines of the fixture provide different color points, peak light intensity angles, far-field light distribution characteristics, and/or circadian stimulus values. A skylight fixture may include a sky-resembling assembly and a plurality of sun-resembling assemblies, with dedicated optical assemblies and/or light sources. A lighting fixture may include multiple waveguides that different extraction feature patterns and/or may be sequentially arranged.

  • Patent number: 7992623
Abstract: A wall covering system for radiant heating includes a first wall covering portion and a second wall covering portion. The first portion is releasably connectable to the second portion in a direction substantially perpendicular to an outer surface of the first portion. The first portion includes a bottom side and top channel portion downwardly depending from the bottom side. The second portion includes a top side and a bottom channel portion extending upwardly from the top side. The top channel portion and the bottom channel portion bound a channel for receiving a heating conduit. The channel extends longitudinally relative to the first portion and the second portion.

  • Patent number: 6124758
Abstract: An RF power amplifier control system is presented herein. The system includes a group of power amplifier modules for amplifying an RF signal. Each group includes first and second group controllers for, when on, controlling the operation of the power amplifier modules including turning on and turning off each of the modules within the group. The first group controller is normally on for controlling the amplifier operation and the second group controller is turned on for controlling the operation only when the first controller is turned off. First and second central controllers are provided for, when on, controlling the operation of the first and second group controllers. The first central controller is normally on to provide the control operation and the second central controller monitors the operation of the first controller and performs the control operation in the event that the first central controller malfunctions.

  • Patent number: 4487153
Abstract: A cage to retain an undersea vehicle therein and tether reel-in and play-out mechanism is provided. The cage includes a latch for retaining the vehicle in a "garage" portion. A tether drive assembly reels in and out the tether line through a bale which cooperates with a narrow, annular drum to retain the tether line in an annular, cylindrical coil having a width of a single strand of line. The bail, with or without cooperation from additional means, winds and unwinds the tether in the drum.

  • Patent number: 4048364
Abstract: A novel nonwoven article useful as a scrim support for other materials, such as paper toweling and wiping cloths, or as porous, nonadsorbent coverings for adsorbent packaging such as bandages or sanitary napkins, or a ribbon for packaging and decorative applications, is produced by post drawing certain melt-blown thermoplastic mats under defined conditions of draw ratios and temperatures. A moderate strength yarn or twine can be produced by twisting the post-drawn, melt-blown thermoplastic web.

  • Patent number: 3978185
Abstract: Melt blown non-woven mats prepared from thermoplastic polymer fibers and substantially completely free of polymer shot are produced at high polymer throughput rates in an improved melt blowing process in which thermoplastic polymer resins, preferably polypropylene, having initial intrinsic viscosities of at least 1.4, are degraded, optionally in the presence of a free radical source compound, to have both reduced intrinsic viscosities and an apparent viscosity in the melt-blowing nozzle orifices of from about 50 to about 300 poise.
