  • Publication number: 20240170903
Abstract: A controlled extraction of an electronic connector from an electronic circuit board includes a press mechanism of a device positioned in spaced relation over a base fixture of the device. The base fixture receiving an electronic circuit board which includes a connector. Shafts of a removal tool of the press mechanism can be inserted into a series of openings in the connector, respectively, in response to applying a downward force to the press mechanism. A capturing element on each of the shafts can be actuated where the capturing element couples to a wall defining the opening of each of the openings. The connector can be removed from the electronic circuit board by applying an upward force to the press mechanism which removes the connector with the capturing element of the shafts coupled to the wall of the opening, and releasing the press mechanism from the base fixture.

  • Publication number: 20240138064
Abstract: A method of fabricating a multilayer circuit board is provided which includes forming a layer of a the multilayer circuit board with an internal clearance region having a modified voltage-to-ground clearance of conductive material adjacent to an aperture of the multilayer circuit board. The modified voltage-to-ground clearance of conductive material is based on a configuration of a connector pin to be press-fit connected within the aperture of the multilayer circuit board, and the internal clearance region is enlarged in a direction of greatest normal force outward from the aperture with insertion of the connector pin into the aperture.

  • Patent number: 4476727
Abstract: A method of measuring a characteristic of a material in a structure is the subject of the present invention. A known stress relationship S=TC/J is utilized in practicing the method of the present invention. In the foregoing formula S=strength in p.s.i.; T=torque force in pounds/inch; C=distance to the point of interest in inches; and J=.pi./2r.sup.4 where J is the polar moment of inertia for a circle of radius r (in inches). A drive head is adhesively secured to a segment of the structure to be tested. A known torque force is then applied to the drive head and this known force is translated into a measurement of the material characteristic utilizing the formula indicated. The method may be utilized to test the ultimate shear strength by failing the material or may be utilized to measure strength up to a design criteria without carrying the material to failure. Other material characteristics may also be measured utilizing the known formula set forth above and other known relationships.

  • Patent number: 4254504
Abstract: A transceiver is controlled in operation by a programmable read only memory (PROM). The memory is accessed directly via a series of switches and when accessed, provides output data necessary to control the operation of the transceiver by controlling the frequency, the output power level and the mode of operation, as well as providing data to prevent transmission of unauthorized frequencies. The memory permits rapid and reliable programming of the apparatus enabling an untrained operator to use the equipment with reduced risk of unauthorized operation.

  • Patent number: 4183423
Abstract: A cart bolted to a short bottom section of a ladder carries a winch. A cable on the winch runs over a pulley on a short top section of the ladder and is connected to a carriage having wheels running in channel-like side members of the ladder. The carriage has an adjustable, folding platform and a back which pivots to a horizontal position when the carriage reaches the top of the ladder. A bottom pushbutton control and a top pushbutton control are provided.
