  • Publication number: 20230068307
Abstract: A joint motion measurement apparatus includes securing mechanisms that secure sensors to various body parts such as the leg, including the femur, tibia, malleoli and/or calcaneus. The sensors are configured to measure a position and/or motion of the various parts of the leg relative to one another. The sensor data is usable to determine kinematic and/or muscle properties of the leg including knee laxity, tibiofemoral measurements and/or spastic properties.

  • Publication number: 20210177435
Abstract: In one embodiment, a cutting guide is disclosed for use in a surgical procedure to removed damaged tissue from a patient and form a recipient site configured and dimensioned to receive a donor graft. The cutting guide includes a first aim that abuts a section of the damaged tissue to be removed, and a second arm including a hole and a slot that receives a cutting implement, the first arm and the slot defining a distance therebetween corresponding to a desired dimension of the recipient site. In another embodiment, a cutting guide is disclosed for use in forming a donor graft from donor tissue. The cutting guide includes a body that receives the donor tissue, and a shaping member that is rotatably secured to the body. The shaping member includes at least one vane that shapes the donor tissue so as to form the donor graft.

  • Publication number: 20170172585
Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods for forming a non-circular tissue graft from donor tissue, and a corresponding recipient site in patient's tissue, are disclosed. In one embodiment, a cutting guide is disclosed for use in forming the recipient site. The cutting guide comprises a deformable body including a non-circular window, through which the patient's tissue is accessed, that is reconfigurable to contour to the patient's tissue. A cutting bit is also disclosed for use with the cutting guide in forming the recipient site. The cutting bit engages and follow a cutting route defined by the cutting guide, and includes a shaft, as well as a cutting head that removes portions of the patient's tissue. A cutting guide for use in forming the tissue graft from the donor tissue is also disclosed, which includes a removable template defining a channel that corresponds in configuration and dimensions to the cutting route.

  • Patent number: 4690213
Abstract: Disclosed is a pipe wiper device and system for stripping fluid from the external surface of tubular articles being pulled from the wellhead of a well. The wiper device includes a container having a carriage movably mounted therein. A pair of wiper pad assemblies are carried by the carriage and movable inwardly and outwardly with respect to each other. A pair of opposed actuators are provided for moving the wiper pad assemblies inward and outward with respect to each other and the connection between the wiper pad assemblies and actuators is such that the wiper pad assemblies and carriage are movable perpendicular to the direction of actuation of the actuators thereby to accommodate sideways movement of the carriage. The actuators are operated by a system that automatically retracts the wiper pad assemblies responsive to rig standpipe pressure so that the wiper pad assemblies retract automatically during drilling.
