  • Patent number: 10983945
Abstract: Methods, devices, and computer programs are presented for consolidating overlapping data provided by multiple sources. One method includes operations for associating a plurality of devices to a user, each device operable to capture data associated with the user, and for receiving, from the plurality of devices, captured data about a first activity associated with a first period of time. Additionally, the method includes operations for detecting that the received captured data from two or more devices provide overlapping information about the first activity, and for evaluating one or more rules for consolidating the overlapping information to produce consolidated data. The consolidated data provides a unified view of the first activity during the first period of time. The consolidated data is stored in permanent storage and made available for presentation to the user.

  • Patent number: 10838073
Abstract: Assisted-GPS for a portable biometric monitoring device is provided. The portable biometric monitoring device may obtain updated ephemeris data from an associated secondary device via a short-range, low-power communication protocol. The secondary device may be a computing device such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. Various rules may control when the ephemeris data is updated. The ephemeris data may be used in the calculation of the global position of the portable biometric monitoring device. Additionally, the portable biometric monitoring device may communicate downloaded position fixing data to the associated secondary device. The associated secondary device may then calculate the global position from the position fixing data.

  • Publication number: 20200275844
Abstract: An activity monitoring device, methods and computer readable media are provided. The activity monitoring device includes a housing configured for attachment to a body part of a user and a display screen attached to the housing. Further included is a first sensor disposed in the housing for capturing motion of the activity monitoring device when attached to the body part of the user and a second sensor disposed in the housing for sampling a heart rate of the user. Memory is disposed in the housing for storing the motion captured by the first sensor and the heart rate sampled by the second sensor. A processor is disposed in the housing and is configured to determine a physical state of the user during a period of time. For motion that is below a threshold the processor identifies the physical state to be a sedentary state and for motion that is at or above the threshold the processor identifies the physical state to be an active state.

  • Patent number: 10755291
Abstract: A method and system receive consumer media consumption data and dynamically prioritize the allocation of marketing resources amongst a variety of media intellectual property (IP) assets and for a variety of media IP asset managers and owners to run automated targeted marketing campaigns. The system identifies patterns in consumer media consumption using a statistical model which detects media IP assets demonstrating a high likelihood of realizing an efficient marketing opportunity. The efficiency of a marketing opportunity is evaluated using a statistical model based on the identification of customers who are most likely to increase the frequency with which they stream the assets after being exposed to them via a marketing action in addition to the projected costs of reaching this audience. The system automatically constructs a marketing campaign. The campaign is presented to the asset manager/owner in a graphical user interface (GUI) which enables the option to purchase and execute the marketing actions.
