The interface assembly comprises a respective miniaturized printed circuit board (PCB) on each ignition coil. Each miniaturized PCB is electrically coupled to the coil terminals therein. The interface assembly further comprises a separate electrically conductive structure for electrically interconnecting each miniaturized PCB. The electrically conductive structure may be configured to reduce ohmic losses due to inter-cylinder separation in the electrical signal used for discharging the respective spark.
