  • Patent number: 5377361
Abstract: A toilet flange is disclosed for mounting a toilet to a floor and for connecting the toilet to a drain pipe leading to a sewer pipe. The toilet flange has an axial bore which is initially closed at the top by an integral knock out element which seals the bore for air or water testing prior to the installation of the toilet. The knock out element when removed is larger than the lumen of the drain pipe so that it cannot fall into it.

  • Patent number: 5251339
Abstract: A device for retrieving objects flushed down a toilet consists of a hook for catching objects, a plug for closing an opening in a sewer pipe and a cable connected at one end to the plug and at the other end to the hook. In use, the hook is positioned in a sewer pipe downstream of the toilet and the plug is used to removably close an opening in the sewer pipe upstream of the toilet. Objects flushed down the toilet are retrieved by removing the plug from the opening and withdrawing the cable and hook and any objects caught by the hook from the sewer pipe through the opening.

  • Patent number: 4879771
Abstract: A floor clean-out assembly for a drain pipe comprises a tubular adapter having a top shaped to serve as the ball of a ball and socket and a bottom for connection to a drain pipe; and a tubular extension member for extending from the top of the adapter to a floor. The extension member has a bottom shaped to serve as a socket. When the top of the adapter is in the socket of the extension member, the extension member can be rotated so that its top is level with a floor. The adapter and extension member are preferably made of solvent weldable material so they can be readily welded in a desired position.

  • Patent number: 4871451
Abstract: An improved floor drain plate assembly for closing the open mouth of a drain includes an apertured floor drain plate having slots and at least two jam clips. Each of the jam clips has a base and a pair of spaced apart legs. The assembly also includes bolts with an enlarged head and nuts for suspending the clips below the plate. When the clips are in place, one of the legs of each clip is jammed into a slot in the drain plate and the second leg can be forced by the tightening of the bolt and nut outwardly to engage the wall of the open mouth of the drain and secure the drain plate therein.
