  • Pen
    Patent number: 6789975
Abstract: A reservoir pen includes a nib, a feed bar defining an ink channel and having an ink port, and a valve for controlling flow of ink from the ink port to an underside of the nib. The valve includes a seat, a valve member, and a resilient element engaging the valve member to bias the valve member away from the ink port toward an open position. The valve member is further positioned to engage the nib to urge the valve member against the resilient element and into sealing contact with the seat. The resilient member is disposed outside of the ink channel in at least the open position.

  • Patent number: 4285686
Abstract: Sheet folding means comprising a triangular frame structure having an apex over which a web of sheet material is passed for forming one or more folds therein, with a single fold forming a multi-ply web from a single web, and with multiple folds forming gussets within the web. In the device, continuous linear surfaces are provided for both defining the fold, and ultimately preserving the fold in the film moving across the folder structure. The folder includes a pair of mutually convergent arm members which converge toward an apex point adjacent to tip ends of the convergent arm members. First and second tip plates are provided for mounting upon the first and second converging arms respectively, with the tip plates each being polygons with linear edges, and being dimensioned so as to span the space between the converging arm means to form a selected apex point with the apex point being projected outwardly from the tip ends of the convergent arm members.

  • Patent number: 3954367
Abstract: A stacking system for thermoplastic film products, such as polyethylene bags or the like. The stacking system is arranged to be employed in combination with a product conveyor which receives finished articles or products from a thermoplastic film converting machine, the arrangement employing stacking wheels disposed along the terminal portion of the conveyor, and wherein the drive means for the stacking wheels are arranged to impart rotary motion to the stacking wheels in timed relationship to the movement of thermoplastic film product therethrough, and with means being provided to intermittently retard the rotational velocity of the stacking wheels at a point generally coincident with the passage of the trailing edge of the film product through the stacking wheels so as to frictionally retard the rate of speed of travel of the film product.
