Abstract: A portable physical agents directive (PAD) dosimeter system may be provided. The portable PAD dosimeter system may include a housing and at least one accelerometer configured to generate electrical signals corresponding to a vibration exposure of an operator of a work machine. The portable PAD dosimeter system may also include a controller disposed in the housing configured to process the electrical signals and to determine whether the vibration exposure is above a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: An improved mechanical-over-hydraulic steering apparatus capable of providing automotive-type steering includes a steering wheel driven input control member, right and left turn control valves, and first and second actuators mounted for rotation along an axis common with the input control member. Each of the actuators has a cam operatively associated with a cam-following roller assembly that operates the respective control valve. The vehicle has a cross drive mechanism, and the steering apparatus includes an over-center variable displacement steering pump and associated displacement control controllably operated by first and second pilot lines connected to the right and left turn control valves. The steering pump controllably and bidirectionally communicates fluid to a steering motor for the steering input to the cross drive mechanism.

Abstract: A first member (7) with a tapered spline (6) and a method of making same, which tapered spline (6) provides an improved backlash-free mating with a second member (10) having a conventional straight spline (9). The method of forming the spline (6) consists of distorting a first member (7) along its central axis (14), broaching the first member (7) to form a straight cylindrical spline, and returning the first member (7) to its undistorted condition whereby the straight spline becomes a tapered spline (6).
