Abstract: A system for the vertical packaging of webbing rolls comprises a bottom tray, a top cap, a plurality of webbing rolls, and stretch wrap film. The bottom tray includes a bottom wall and a plurality of side walls extending upwardly from the bottom wall. Likewise, the top cap includes a top wall and a plurality of side walls extending downward from the top wall. The webbing rolls are positioned between the bottom tray and the top cap with the webbing rolls resting on the bottom wall of the bottom tray and the top cap positioned atop the webbing rolls. Horizontally adjacent ones of the webbing rolls are in contact with each other. The contact between adjacent ones of the webbing rolls helps to maintain the integrity of the system during movement thereof. To reduce the amount of packaging material utilized in the system, neither the bottom tray nor the top cap includes corners joining their respective side walls.

Abstract: The invention relates to a system for the vertical packaging of webbing rolls. The system consists of a tier of webbing rolls consisting of a bottom tray, a plurality of webbing rolls positioned thereon, each roll enclosed within a cushioning sleeve and a top cap. The system components are preferably fabricated from corrugated material which has inherent cushioning characteristics and serves to deflect any damaging shipping impacts.

Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for winding strips or tubes of plastic film into center-unwindable rolls having a diameter of at least about 3 inches and for unloading the wound rolls without telescoping thereof. Bare expandable winding shafts are provided which comprise a fixed vacuum leaf and a plurality of movable leaves controlled by an elongated air bladder, the contracted diameter being at least about one-quarter inch less than the expanded diameter. Each leaf also has an outer surface having a selected slipperiness toward the film surface.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a collection of ultra-thin bags and a collection of bags per se wherein said bags are made by providing two separated thermoplastic films; forming transversely across each separated film, lines of weakness extending from one edge of each film to the other, with each line spaced from the next a bag length distance apart; bringing the films together in face-to-face relationship with the lines of weakness across one film in registration with those of the other films; sealing the films transversely along lines parallel with and immediately adjacent to the lines of weakness; slit-sealing the film layers at one or more bag width intervals to complete individual but interconnected bag structures; and collecting each strip of interconnected bags into a volumetrically efficient form.

Abstract: A dispensing carton for plastic bags is disclosed in which the bags may be removed from aperture openings located on three different sides of the carton. A blank for the dispensing carton is also disclosed.

Abstract: A bag pack and individual bags characterized by having handles which are integral extensions of the front and rear of said bag. The bags have a bag mouth which includes stress relief curves on both sides of an upwardly extending tab. The tab includes at least one orifice which is positioned to create comparatively narrow webs which serve to be the tear-off points severing individual bags from the pack. The bags are bonded together via said tab at areas adjacent said orifice.
