  • Publication number: 20180173461
Abstract: Technologies for prioritized execution of storage commands by a data storage device include determining a priority of storage commands issued by a host and adding the storage commands to a queue of the data storage device based on the determined priority of the storage command. For example, the storage command issued by the host may be divided into sub-commands and added to a storage sub-command queue of the data storage device based on the determined priority of the storage command. The priority of the storage commands may be determined based on any suitable criteria including, for example, the host storage command queue storing the storage command, metadata associated with the storage command, the type or size of the storage command, and/or other aspects of the storage command, the host, and/or the data storage device.

  • Publication number: 20180129616
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods for isolating input/output computing resources. In some embodiments, a host device may include logic to identify a Process Address Space Identifier (PASID) for a process or container of the host device and logic to associate the PASID with an individual queue pair of a hardware device of the host device, wherein the queue pair includes two complementary queues and wherein the queue pair is owned by the process or container upon association with the PASID. Other embodiments may be disclosed and/or claimed.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided herein related to irrigation control systems. In some embodiments, an irrigation control system includes a router, an access point, and irrigation controller, a wireless adapter, and a mobile device. The mobile device can communicate with the wireless adapter in a direct communication mode in which the wireless adapter creates a wireless network, a first indirect communication mode in which the mobile device and the wireless adapter communicate via the access point while the mobile device is within range of the access point, and a second indirect communication mode in which the mobile device and the wireless adapter communicate via the access point while the mobile device is out of range of the access point.

  • Patent number: 9647916
Abstract: Channel traffic in Internet Protocol (IP) networks may be placed in priority queues upon receipt. Providing an efficient way for operators to use the channel may enable the operator to better make decisions for configuring the priority queues, maximizing effectiveness. For example, measuring a queue latency and making a queue latency visible to an operator may enable a better configuration of priority queues. Further, an improved latency metric may assist an operator to judge a relative effect that priority assignments have on traffic over a channel. Such techniques may be applied to an out-of-band (OOB) channel to include an assessment of parameters important for optimizing the configuration of priority queues in a downstream channel. For example, an improved latency metric for assisting an operator to judge the relative effect that priority assignments have on traffic is a parameter assessed for better use of an OOB channel.

  • Patent number: 8811565
Abstract: An integrated reactor missile shield and crane assembly (IRMSCA) is disclosed and claimed. The IRMSCA replaces the existing concrete missile shields and reactor services crane. The IRMSCA is moveable such that the missile shield can be moved away from the reactor head, allowing the integral crane to lift the control rod drive mechanism components and other routine loads at the refueling cavity.

  • Patent number: 8458263
Abstract: Method and apparatus for verification of archived message information for electronic messages, such as email messages, from one or more sources in a computer system. An archive verification unit may be configured to receive information that identifies a plurality of electronic messages in a group located in one or more sources, determine which of the plurality of messages in the group are not archived on a message archive system, and provide a report identifying which of the plurality of messages in the group are not archived on the message archive system.

  • Publication number: 20120241341
Abstract: A shock-absorbing strap assembly for attachment to a load including an inelastic strap having an elongate direction and a widthwise direction and a discrete elastic member having an expandable portion. The elastic member is coupled to the inelastic strap. The inelastic strap is coupled to, and overlaps, the elastic member such that, when the strap assembly is in a relaxed state, the inelastic strap forms at least one slack. The strap assembly further includes a shoulder pad coupled to the inelastic strap and at least partially overlapping the inelastic strap and the elastic member, such that at least a portion of the inelastic strap slidably engages with at least a portion of the shoulder pad when an external tension is applied to the inelastic strap.

  • Patent number: 7234603
Abstract: A swing-arm rack for storing and/or displaying hanging articles, the rack comprises a swing-arm that is pivotally attached by its upper terminus to a vertical support such that the swing-arm hangs substantially vertically in a folded configuration. The fixed terminus of a drop arm is pivotally attached to the lower end of the swing-arm. A flexible restraint is connected to the free end of the drop-arm. The opposing end of the flexible restraint passes through an aperture in the swing-arm and is secured against the outward surface of the swing-arm by a keeper. In a deployed configuration of the swing-arm rack, the drop arm is oriented substantially horizontally with its free end abutting the vertical support, thereby locking the bottom of the swing-arm away from the vertical support so that the hanging articles are more easily accessed. In a folded configuration of the swing-arm rack, the free end of the drop-arm is juxtaposed against the inward surface of the upper end of the swing-arm.

  • Patent number: 6934303
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and apparatus for creating a Program Association Table (PAT) for a reduced portion of a multiplexed data stream, when the multiplexed data stream has been reduced, for example, to carry fewer services over a cable television plant. More particularly, the present invention provides methods and apparatus for creating a PAT for a desired combination of multiplexed data stream subgroups contained within an incoming data stream, when the incoming multiplexed data stream is reduced. The invention enables a new PAT to be output which correctly corresponds to the services in a reduced data stream (e.g., for cable-side transmissions). The present invention is particularly useful when reducing high data rate satellite television data streams for cable-side transmission.

  • Patent number: 4677991
Abstract: A pair of elongated, generally transversely triangular deflector members are attachable to opposite, upstanding sidewalls of the foraminous, platform-like cleaning shoe of a combine for the purpose of preventing disproportionate accumulation and build-up of crop materials on the downhill side of the cleaning shoe when the combine is performing harvesting operations on sidehill slopes. The deflector members are fixed to such sidewalls for reciprocation with the shoe during agitation thereof and are provided with upwardly and inwardly extending baffle surfaces having the ability to redirect crop materials and air currents back toward the central portion of the shoe to counteract the effective gravity tending to cause the disproportionate accumulation of materials against the downhill sidewall.

  • Patent number: 4023590
Abstract: An integral passageway is formed in a manhole construction to establish communication between an upper inlet to the manhole and a bottom outlet. Precast sections having such a passageway formed therein may be employed to build a desired height of the manhole, an upper one of the sections having an inlet for connection to a service line and the precast sections being stacked such that the upright passageways therein are in vertical alignment.
