    Abstract: This invention relates to coating compositions used for forming a magnetic layer on the surface of substrates to prepare magnetic recording media, e.g., recording tapes, of which the characteristic ingredient is a copolymeric resin. The copolymeric resin is a copolymer obtained by the copolymerization of comonomers in a specified proportion including (1) vinyl chloride, (2) vinyl acetate, and (3) an acrylate or methacrylate moiety having a sulfonic acid group or a metal or amine salt thereof. This copolymeric resin is advantageous in respect of imparting enhanced dispersion and magnetic property characteristics while also having desirable rheological characteristics and thermal stability.

    Abstract: An apparatus having a support for supporting a subject on a surface and an imager for imaging the subject. The imager is movably coupled to a track to allow relative movement of the imager about the support. The track is located substantially along a plane which is substantially parallel to the surface of the support. The support may, in some embodiments, be rotatable from a horizontal to a vertical position for certain procedures. The track provides movement of the imager about at least three sides of the apparatus and, in some embodiments, is affixed to the floor. Further, the track is substantially aligned with a centerline of the support surface. This provides a firm support for the imaging means, but keeps the support structure at a position where it will not interfere with clinical operations.

The patient support table also comprises a support, with the support being affixed to the first end of the first patient support surface at a first end of the support and extends beyond the third end of the first patient support surface. The support is affixed in such a manner that the first patient support surface may be interchanged with a second patient support surface, wherein the second patient support surface has all of the properties of the first patient support surface. The patient support table also comprises a base. The base is affixed to a second end of the support.

    Abstract: A dynamic calibration and self-check circuit for a mobile X-ray machine. A high voltage regulator circuit provides dynamic regulation of peak anode voltage and a tube current regulator circuit provides dynamic regulation of the X-ray filament current which controls the X-ray tube current. In the regulation of the anode voltage, a voltage sensor provides continuous feedback of the actual anode voltage of the tube to the regulation circuit. A processor selects a predetermined value for the pulse width duration of the high voltage regulator. When an exposure cycle commences, the preselective value is compared with the actual sensed value in an error amplifier. The error amplifier generates an error signal which varies the pulse width of the drive signal to control the peak high voltage to the anode. In the control of the tube current, a sensor which measures the actual tube current is compared with a predetermined value selected by the processor in a second error amplifier.

    Abstract: A planetary transmission for selectively shifting among six forward speeds and two reverse speeds includes a single planet carrier carrying four planet gear sets and clutchable to a drive shaft. First and second planet gear sets mesh respectively with first and second sun gears secured to the drive shaft and with encircling brake-associated first and second ring gears. A third planet gear set meshes with a centrally apertured third sun gear and with an encircling brake-associated third ring gear. A fourth planet gear set meshes with the third planet gear set and with a fourth sun gear secured to a driven shaft which extends through the central aperture of the third sun gear and which is clutchable to the third sun gear.
