  • Publication number: 20030178883
Abstract: The present invention provides a dump body having a box portion and a skeletal structure. The dump body includes a body support assembly for pivotally attaching the dump body to the frame of the truck. The body support assembly includes a base member and a first and second body support member attached to the base member. The first and second body support members each include a bore adapted receive a steel pin. The body support assembly of the present invention provides a dump body that can be manufactured without the need to line bore the pin bores after welding of the dump body has been completed.

  • Patent number: 6592171
Abstract: The present invention provides a dump body having an improved skeletal structure reinforcing the body. The skeletal structure includes a plurality of longitudinal and vertical ribs. The ribs include at least one side leg and an exterior leg adjacent to the side leg. A cutout portion is defined in the exterior leg of the longitudinal legs. The cutout portion is adapted to receive a tab portion of a corresponding vertical rib. The exterior legs of the longitudinal ribs and vertical ribs are defined on a single plane. At the intersection of each cutout portion and tab portion a groove is defined. The groove is adapted to receive a weld of substantially similar mechanical properties of the rib material.

  • Patent number: 5992687
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for dispensing controlled portions of food products having high levels of tack. An apparatus for dispensing portions of food has a portioning chamber including a first end defining a ram mating orifice, a second end defining an expulsion orifice, and a body portion defining an inlet orifice intermediate the two ends for introducing bulk food product into the chamber. Disposed in the chamber is a piston having a face sized to substantially slidingly fit therein. An actuatable ram is located at the first end and coupled to the piston for causing controlled movement of the piston. The actuator is operated by a controller wherein the controller first causes the ram, by way of the actuator, to fully extend, then causes the ram to partially retract so that the face of the piston retracts no further than the inlet orifice, and then causes the ram to again fully extend.
