Publication number: 20230074279Abstract: Examples of systems and methods for audio transcription are described. Audio data may be obtained from multiple recording devices at or near a scene. Audio data from multiple recording devices may be used to generate a final transcription. For example, when transcribing audio data from one recording device, audio data from another recording device may be used to generate the final transcript. The data from the second recording device may be used when it is determined that the recording devices were in proximity at the time the relevant portions of audio data were recorded and/or when a portion of the audio from the second recording device is verified to correspond with a portion of the audio from the first recording device. In some examples, data from the second recording device may be used when data from the first recording device is determined to be of low quality.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2022Publication date: March 9, 2023Applicant: Axon Enterprise, Inc.Inventors: Noah Spitzer-Williams, Thomas Crosley, Choongyeun Cho, James Reitz

Patent number: 10524730Abstract: Microneedle arrays, methods for fabricating microneedle arrays, medical devices, and methods for operating medical devices are provided. A method for fabricating a microneedle array includes providing a sheet blank of material. Further, the method includes stamping the sheet blank of material with a progression of dies, wherein the material is displaced into the microneedle array. A medical device includes a microneedle array, a base member having a first surface supporting the microneedle array and a second surface, and a flexible wall enclosing a chamber between the flexible wall and the second surface of the base member. The flexible wall is biased toward an extended configuration enclosing a first volume in the chamber. Further, the flexible wall is movable to a depressed configuration enclosing a second volume in the chamber less than the first volume.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2017Date of Patent: January 7, 2020Assignee: Medtronic MiniMed, Inc.Inventors: James A. Reitz, Raymond M. Russell, Anthony C. Cannistraci, David Pavell

Patent number: 8898072Abstract: In one embodiment, a selection process executing in an optimizing engine is invoked as users are presented with web pages that include ad content. The selection process provides an initial population of sets of characteristics that specify an initial generation of layouts of ads for the pages. The characteristics can include anything that affects an ads appearance on the display. For example, ad type, position within a web page, color, size, text font, animation, etc. can be specified. Statistics are obtained as to each ad or page layout's performance or impact on the user, such as revenue obtained from ads in the layout, how many user's click an ad, how long users view an ad, etc. Once a large enough sample of user impacts is obtained a second population of sets of characteristics is created to improve the overall performance of the initial population.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 2007Date of Patent: November 25, 2014Assignee: HubPages, Inc.Inventors: James Reitz, Paul Deeds

Publication number: 20060036554Abstract: Systems and methodologies are provided for a Digital Rights Management (DRM) that permits a service provider implementing DRM (the Service), to distribute and use digital contents to a plurality of devices designated by a user, via employing a registration component and a DRM component. The registration component can associate a user with a particular device among the plurality of devices, and also associate the device with its DRM challenge. The DRM component can issue licenses for content(s) used on the particular device. Such an arrangement facilitates users' ability to roam and use a digital content purchased across a number of devices designated by the user and approved by the Service.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 12, 2004Publication date: February 16, 2006Applicant: Microsoft CorporationInventors: Christian Schrock, Yevgeny Zarakhovsky, James Reitz, Oliver Roup, Olivier Garamfalvi

Publication number: 20050060264Abstract: A globally relevant playlist presented. A globally relevant playlist includes track references corresponding to a plurality of tracks. Each track reference includes a global track identifier that uniquely identifies the corresponding referenced track among any number of computers or computing devices. A method for playing tracks according to a globally relevant playlist is presented. A track referenced in the playlist is selected. It is determined whether the track is locally accessible according to the global track identifier. If the track is accessible, it is played. If the track is not locally accessible, the track is retrieved from a track source associated with the track and according to the global track identifier. A method for downloading tracks to a player device according to a globally relevant playlist is also presented.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 24, 2003Publication date: March 17, 2005Inventors: Christian Schrock, Brent Ingraham, James Reitz, Oliver Roup, Vladimir Yangurskiy, Eugene Zarakhovsky
