Abstract: A security system and method for the limited monitoring of visitors to a country or territory has an input component such as a keyboard or electronic reader configured for receiving information pertaining to a visitor's stay in a country or territory. The information includes the scheduled departure of the visitor. A controller communicates with the input component, and a database communicates with the controller for storing the information pertaining to the visitor's stay. The controller is configured for polling the database to determine if the visitor has departed as scheduled, and for sending an alert if the visitor has not left as scheduled.

Abstract: An identity verification system and method for monitoring transactions has an input component configured for inputting information pertaining to the identity of a person involved in a transaction. A biometric scanner is provided for scanning a unique and identifiable physical attribute of the person involved in the transaction and thereupon generating scanned biometric data. A controller communicates with the input component and the biometric scanner. A database communicates with the controller for storing reference biometric data of the person whose identity is being used in the transaction. The controller is configured for comparing the scanned biometric data with the reference biometric data to determine if there is a substantial match for validating the transaction.

Abstract: A tracking system for identifying contents of a container includes an electromagnetic identification apparatus that provides an electromagnetic signal indicative of a container content data set; a writer for use in encoding the container signal onto the apparatus; a controller for receiving the encoded signal and for storing the signal in a master database storage apparatus; and a reader configured outside the container for communicating with the electromagnetic identification apparatus and for receiving the encoded signal therefrom and corresponding to the container content data signal set.

Abstract: An apparatus for providing secure and unique identification of individuals includes a device for electromagnetically recording and storing data indicative of a specific individual. The device receives and stores data in various fields. A system for use in tracking and identifying individuals includes an electromagnetic identification device that has a plurality of data fields, each being adapted to receive identifying signals; a writer for encoding the signals into the appropriate data fields; a controller for receiving signals uniquely identifying an individual and storing the signals in a master database; and a reader adapted to interrogate the unique individual identification signals stored on the electromagnetic identification apparatus and for comparing corresponding individual identification signals with signals received from the electromagnetic identification apparatus and generating an alarm signal if a discrepancy exists.
