Publication number: 20240177082Abstract: A lab system configures robots to performs protocols in labs. A lab system generates an interface including a representation of lab systems within a lab associated with a schedule of tasks. Each task associated with a pre-scheduled assay. A lab system receives, from a user via the interface, a workflow path through the lab for an assay. The workflow path is associated with an ordered subset of the lab systems used in the performance of the assay. A lab system converts the received workflow into a set of lab system tasks required to perform the assay. Each of the subset of lab systems is associated with a subset of lab system tasks. A lab system modifies the schedule of tasks to include the set of lab system tasks by optimizing a combination of the set of lab system tasks and the tasks associated with pre-scheduled assays.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2023Publication date: May 30, 2024Inventors: Benjamin C. Publication number: 20240152306Abstract: A server provides image data including detailed geometry and shading information for one of more objects in a scene from a last known camera orientation and placement (a “first camera view”) and a height map indicating a distance from the first camera view to each pixel of the image. The image data and the height map are collectively referred to as a “parallax pixel map”. A client device receives the parallax pixel map from the server and updates the parallax pixel map based on a current camera orientation and placement (a “first camera view”). The client device projects the updated parallax pixel map onto the image of the scene based on the current camera view to generate a current display frame. The client device then provides the current display frame for display.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 12, 2021Publication date: May 9, 2024Inventors: Derek James Basehore, Nicholas Jordan Sanders

Patent number: 11942765Abstract: An underarm gang operated vacuum break switch (underarm switch) has an electrically live portion under a mounting arm, which provides advantages over the standard vacuum break switch, which have the electrically live portion above the mounting arm. Because the non-electrified mounting arm is above the electrified portion, the underarm switch is safer for perching birds and other wildlife. The nature of the underarm switch also provides other benefits including a disconnect blade that when opened creates a visual gap to ensure electrical discontinuity along with a safety locking arm tied to deactivating the underarm switch. Adding to the safety measures is a visual indicator that shows an electrician when the switch is live and safe to open the disconnect blade. Other safety measures include a shock absorber assembly and inertia slowing mass protecting electrical contacts within the vacuum break switch from failing.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2023Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: Inertial Engineering and Machine Works, Inc.Inventors: Dean Carnell Sanders, Elliott James Gist

Publication number: 20230149047Abstract: Various methods and apparatus for dynamic stabilization of bones, and especially of vertebra. Disclosed herein are bushings that permit axial movement of a rod, tether, or similar interconnection device relative to an anchoring head that is coupled to a bone. Some bushings further allow lateral relative movement or rotational relative movement, such additional relative movement being limited by the size and shape of the bushing, the size and shape of the interconnection device, the size and shape of the bushing container, the manner of attaching the anchoring head to the bone, or other considerations.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 9, 2021Publication date: May 18, 2023Applicant: OrthoPediatrics Corp.Inventors: Richard McCarthy, Brian Snyder, Scott Luhmann, James Sanders, David Bumpass, Richard M. Publication number: 20190364962Abstract: The present invention is a multi-functional hand tool that can be used in safely and securely retrieving and transporting fish, pet, and holding an object such as a cigarette or cigar for smoking without finger contact with the cigarette or cigar. The stretchable net of the present invention offers a user with a hoop and net of which the size can be changed by squeezing a pair of handles connected with a spring coil, thus, the user can retrieve large fish and hold the fish with a small opening by releasing the spring coil. The clip of the present invention has a jaw instead of a hoop and net. The jaw can be used to securely hold the cigarette or cigar by squeezing the handles and the user can use the clip for smoking without the user's fingers contacting the cigarette or cigar.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 29, 2019Publication date: December 5, 2019Inventor: David James Sanders
