  • Patent number: 11995300
Abstract: A tool allows a user to create new designs for apparel and preview these designs before manufacture. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. Based on a laser input file with a pattern, a laser will burn the pattern onto apparel. With the tool, the user will be able to create, make changes, and view images of a design, in real time, before burning by a laser. Input to the tool includes fabric template images, laser input files, and damage input. The tool allows adding of tinting and adjusting of intensity and bright point. The user can also move, rotate, scale, and warp the image input.

  • Patent number: 11987842
Abstract: A method of preparing reagents includes inserting a cartridge into an instrument. The cartridge includes a plurality of reagent enclosures disposed in a cavity of the cartridge and exposing a port to an exterior of the cartridge. Each reagent enclosure includes a reagent container including a reagent and an internal cavity defining a compressible volume, an opening defined through the reagent container to the internal cavity. The method further includes connecting a plurality of fluid ports to the openings of the plurality of reagent enclosures; applying a solution through the fluid ports to at least partially fill the plurality of reagent enclosures; and cycling a pressure of the cavity, whereby for each of the reagent enclosures, during increasing pressure, the solution enters the internal cavity of the reagent container, combines with the reagent, and compresses the compressible volume, and during decreasing pressure, the compressible volume decreases and the reagent is ejected through the opening.

  • Patent number: 11980463
Abstract: A blood glucose sensing system includes a sensor and a sensor electronics device. The sensor includes a plurality of electrodes. The sensor electronics device includes stabilization circuitry. The stabilization circuitry causes a first voltage to be applied to one of the electrodes for a first timeframe and causes a second voltage to be applied to one of the electrodes for a second timeframe. The stabilization circuitry repeats the application of the first voltage and the second voltage to continue the anodic—cathodic cycle. The sensor electronics device may include a power supply, a regulator, and a voltage application device, where the voltage application device receives a regulated voltage from the regulator, applies a first voltage to an electrode for the first timeframe, and applies a second voltage to an electrode for the second timeframe.

  • Publication number: 20240125028
Abstract: Indigo-dyed garments are treated with an anti-ozone agent to prevent ozone-related degradation of the garments before laser finishing. Without treatment, the garments can exhibit color loss (e.g., color change or fading) from exposure to ozone in the atmosphere. The indigo-dyed garments with anti-ozone treatment can serve as base templates in a laser finishing process flow. The anti-ozone treatment of the base templates can include a rinse including an ascorbic acid or vitamin C constituent during a base preparation process. Then quantities of these base templates can manufactured and stored for periods of time without exhibiting ozone-related degradation effects.

  • Publication number: 20240125046
Abstract: A fabric has enhanced response characteristics for laser finishing. The fabric can be denim for denim apparel such as jeans. Software and lasers are used to finish apparel made of the fabric to produce a desired wear or distressing pattern or other design. The fabric allows for relatively fast color change in response to the laser, color changes in hue from indigo blue to white, many grayscale levels, and maintains strength and stretch properties. A method used to make the fabric includes spinning, dyeing, and weaving yarns in such a way to obtain the desired enhanced response characteristics for laser finishing.

  • Patent number: 11954504
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for a method of cloud infrastructure optimization. The method identifies an existing infrastructure configuration deployed in a cloud environment and generates a plurality of proposal configurations, each of the plurality of proposal configurations having executable code configured to adjust the existing infrastructure configuration for at least one variable. The method selects a proposal configuration from the plurality of proposal configurations based on the at least one variable adjusted for in the existing infrastructure configuration, and the selected proposal configuration is deployed in the cloud environment. The method then analyzes the selected proposal configuration for a level of adjustment for the at least one variable. The method trains a model engine with existing and new training data.

  • Publication number: 20240017461
Abstract: An extrusion die has first and second die bodies that define an extrusion cavity therebetween. The extrusion cavity has an inlet, a primary manifold that extends from the inlet along a flow direction, and an outlet that defines an elongate slot. In some examples, cavity has an intermediate chamber that extends from the primary manifold along the flow direction, the intermediate chamber having a back line and a front line that taper away from one another as they extend outwards towards opposing ends of the die. The primary manifold has a front end portion that is defined between opposing inner surfaces, at least one of inner surface tapering towards the other as it extends along the flow direction. In some examples, the inner surface has first and second curved portions that curve to provide a smoother transition from the primary manifold to a downstream chamber of the extrusion cavity.
