  • Patent number: 11988143
Abstract: A system and a method for determining a high oil consumption in a gas turbine engine of an aircraft are provided. The method includes determining one or more engine and aircraft conditions. The one or more engine and aircraft conditions includes at least one of an oil quantity, an oil temperature, an oil pressure, an engine speed, an aircraft altitude, and an aircraft attitude. The method further includes determining a trend in oil conditions based on at least the one or more engine and aircraft conditions. The trend in oil conditions provides at least one of a rate of consumption of oil or a time duration of remaining oil. The method further includes determining the high oil consumption based on a comparison of the trend in oil conditions with a threshold or a comparison model.

  • Publication number: 20240085740
Abstract: In some examples, an apparatus may include a backlight unit (BLU) including an electronic integrated circuit layer, a photonic integrated circuit layer, a color conversion module, and a display interface layer. In some examples, a BLU may include at least one laser or may be configured to receive laser light from at least one external laser source. Laser light may be transmitted towards a portion of the display interface layer using the photonic integrated circuit. Color conversion modules may be used to convert the laser light into one or more desired colors. Example apparatus may be used in head-mounted devices such as augmented reality and/or virtual reality devices. Other devices, methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 11925298
Abstract: A bowl assembly for a micro puree machine including an inner beaker and an outer bowl. The inner beaker is configured to receive ingredients and has an exterior bottom surface that includes a beaker alignment feature. The outer bowl is configured to receive the inner beaker therein. The outer bowl includes an interior bottom surface that includes a bowl alignment feature and an exterior bottom surface that includes a bowl securing element. The beaker alignment feature of the inner beaker exterior bottom surface is complementary to the bowl alignment feature of the outer bowl interior bottom surface such that, at times the inner beaker is positioned in the outer bowl, the complementary bowl alignment feature and inner beaker alignment feature prevent rotation of the inner beaker relative to the outer bowl. The bowl securing element is configured to receive and attach to a platform of a micro puree machine.

  • Publication number: 20240077637
Abstract: Systems and method presented herein enable the estimation of porosity using neutron-induced gamma ray spectroscopy. For example, the systems and methods presented herein include receiving, via a control and data acquisition system, data relating to energy spectra of gamma rays captured by one or more gamma ray detectors of a neutron-induced gamma ray spectroscopy logging tool. The method also includes deriving, via the control and data acquisition system, one or more spectral yields relating to one or more elemental components from the data relating to the energy spectra of the gamma rays. The method further includes estimating, via the control and data acquisition system, a measurement of porosity based on the one or more spectral yields relating to the one or more elemental components.

  • Publication number: 20240081122
Abstract: A display system may include a light source that emits input light having a wavelength within a source wavelength range and an array of color conversion units overlapping a display area. A first set of color conversion units of the array of color conversion units may include a first color conversion medium that converts the input light to a first color of light having a wavelength within a first wavelength range that is different than the source wavelength range. The display system may also include a waveguide having an out-coupler that directs the input light from the light source toward the array of color conversion units. Various other devices, systems, and methods are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20240066513
Abstract: A method of forming a batch of porous catalytic carrier filaments may include providing a precursor mixture, forcing the precursor mixture at a fixed rate through an orifice and then through a multiplicity of perforations in a belt, where the belt moves across and in tight registry with said orifice to form a batch of precursor catalytic carrier filaments, drying the batch of precursor porous catalytic carrier filaments to form the batch of porous catalytic carrier filaments, and firing (i.e. calcining) the batch of greenware porous catalytic carrier filaments to form the batch of porous catalytic carrier filaments. The batch of porous catalytic carrier filaments may have an average pore volume of at least about 0.1 cm3/g.
