    Abstract: A combination clamp and support bracket for transient support of sheet goods during their alignment and fastening to underlying support structures, like joists and studs. The bracket has either one L-shaped longitudinal end, or at least one offset longitudinal end, or, in an alternate configuration, a pair of one L-shaped longitudinal end and the other an offset longitiudinal end. A pattern of bore holes and key slot perforations are arrayed along the bracket longitudinal axis and provide temporarily tacked pivot points and/or ledges for subjacent support of the sheet goods during placements of an abutting edge and permanent fastening. The brackets are handily displaced and ready for reuse in placement of subsequent sheet goods, like dry wall installation.

    Abstract: An improved method and apparatus are given for producing cryogenic inertially driven fusion targets in the fast isothermal freezing (FIF) method. Improved coupling efficiency and greater availability of volume near the target for diagnostic purposes and for fusion driver beam propagation result. Other embodiments include a new electrical switch and a new explosive detonator, all embodiments making use of a purposeful heating by means of optical fibers.

    Abstract: At least two spaced piers are constructed on a suitable tidal beach extending from the shore into the water a predetermined distance to meet the first breaking waves at low tide. A carriage is movably supported on the piers on an inclined path, the carriage having a frame supporting a pair of spaced sprocket wheels on each end over which is passed an endless belt. The ends of a plurality of blades are secured to the chain in spaced relation completely thereabout. Each sprocket wheels closest to shore is connected to a gear train for transmitting the torque generated by the wave action to a power belt extending along each pier to a transducer located at the shore end of the pier. Means are provided for moving the carriage on the pier on an inclined path in and out from the shore to meet the level of the changing tide so as to continuously generate power throughout the tidal wave.
