  • Patent number: 8028454
Abstract: Loaded chamber indicator systems semi-automatic handguns wherein a loaded chamber indicator is extended by the empty cartridge ejector when the empty cartridge ejector rests on a cartridge in the handgun chamber. In one embodiment, the loaded chamber indicator is in an opening or hole in the back of the slide, with the inner end of the loaded chamber indicator being enlarged and fitting within an inclined slot in the empty cartridge extractor so as to be extended or retracted dependent on whether the empty cartridge ejector rests on a cartridge in the handgun chamber. The empty cartridge extractor may be mostly molded plastic with a metal end for engaging cartridges, and the loaded chamber indicator may be entirely molded plastic. Multiple embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7749029
Abstract: A connector suitable for use in relatively high current applications such as encountered in certain battery operated devices. The connector uses molded male and female connector members that include flat connector pins, the male connector pins being inserted into the female connector member to make contact with the female connector pins. The female connector member has spaces for receiving the male connector pins that have minimum gaps of less than the thickness of the male connector pin, as defined by an elastic wall of the female connector member. The elastic walls deflect on insertion of the male connector pins and maintain a force holding the male connector pins in good contact with the female connector pins.

  • Patent number: 7694449
Abstract: The present invention comprises plastic pistols and individual parts therefore having an increased use of plastic in comparison to prior art plastic pistols, reducing the number and simplifying the design of the metal parts to reduce the cost of the pistols while still maintaining gun quality. One aspect of the invention is the use of plastic in certain critical areas, simplifying the configuration of the metal inserts used. In many cases, this can eliminate expensive machining of metal parts in favor of parts injection molded to finished dimensions. In that regard, legal requirements can still be met with respect to metal content, yet that metal content may be simplified in configuration for ease of manufacture. Certain preferred embodiments of the invention are illustrated.
