  • Patent number: 5533826
Abstract: A clamping arrangement includes a support bracket and a clamping assembly. The clamping assembly includes a clamp sub-assembly having distal and proximal ends. The clamp sub-assembly includes first and second clamp components, each including a cut-out defined in a periphery thereof at an end surface thereof. The cut-outs cooperate to define a guide rail receiving channel for frictionally engaging and holding a guide rail therein. A threaded rod is disposed through the clamp sub-assembly. A control knob is coupled to one end of the rod. The clamping assembly further includes locking structure threadedly coupled to the other end of the rod. The support bracket is constructed and arranged to be mounted to a portion of the conveyor system and includes a receiving channel therein. The locking structure cooperates with the receiving channel so as to adjustably mount the clamping assembly laterally with respect to the support bracket.

  • Patent number: 5501544
Abstract: A clamping assembly including a first end member having a recess defined in an end surface thereof and a bore between opposing end surfaces thereof. An intermediate member has a recess in each end surface thereof and a bore between the first and second end surfaces thereof. A second end member has first and second end surfaces and a recess defined in one of the end surfaces thereof, and a threaded bore between the first and second end surfaces. The intermediate member is disposed between the first and second end members such that the threaded bore aligns with the bore of the intermediate member and the bore of the first end member. One recess of the intermediate member cooperates with the recess of the first end member to define a first pin bore through the clamping assembly. The other recess of the intermediate member cooperates with the recess of the second end member to define a second pin bore through the clamping assembly disposed generally transverse to the first pin bore.

  • Patent number: 5498098
Abstract: A two-piece clamping assembly includes a first clamp member and a second clamp member constructed and arranged to cooperate to define first and second pin bores. The first bore is disposed generally transverse with respect to the second bore. A rod is threaded into an axial bore through a portion of the first clamp member and extends through the second clamp member beyond an end surface thereof. A control knob is coupled to the end of the rod. The control knob includes a seating surface constructed and arranged to engage the end surface of the second clamp member, whereby manual movement of the control knob such that the seating surface contacts the end surface, clamps the second clamp member between the first clamp member and control knob so as to clamp associated pins in the pin bores. The first and second clamp members are constructed and arranged in such a manner that all operative threads of the rod are disposed within the axial bore.

  • Patent number: 5161673
Abstract: An article transporting conveyor roller having a frictional drive transmission component as the last link between the drive power source and the live portion of the roller. The frictional surface of the drive component extends around the entire inner surface of the live portion of the roller so as to provide a true linear relationship between the weight of the article conveyed and the frictional force of the drive component. The frictional drive transmission component allows the live portion of the roller to stop moving in the event of accumulation of the articles to be transported.

  • Patent number: 3994814
Abstract: A low friction bearing composition comprising a major portion of a thermoplastic resin other than polytetrafluoroethylene and a minor portion of a filled polytetrafluoroethylene material, said filled polytetrafluoroethylene material consisting essentially of at least 50% by volume of polytetrafluoroethylene polymer and the remainder being a filler material, said filler material comprising a first filler material and a second, different filler material, said first filler material being selected from the group of soft metals and soft metallic oxides or sulfides having lubricating properties such as lead and its oxides, cadmium and its oxides, titanium oxide, zinc oxide, molybdenum disulfide, and antimony and its oxides and trioxides, said second filler material being selected from a group of hard filler materials such as bronze, copper alloy, glass and ceramic.
