  • Patent number: 9682499
Abstract: There is a molding assembly that comprises a jaw holding assembly having a base member that is joined to a workpiece locating member. The workpiece locating member is joined to a riser member, and a rail is mounted on the riser member and a carriage is supported on the rail. The molding assembly includes a jaw holder that is mounted on the carriage, and the jaw holder supports first and second forming dies, and each has an internal rib that abut one another when the first and second dies are brought together. Together the dies form an elliptical rib having an elliptical shaped curved surface. A workpiece having an O-ring recess and parting line protrusions is positioned between the first and second forming dies, and the dies are heated and melt the parting line protrusions. An O-ring is disposed in the O-ring recess to form a leak proof seal.

  • Patent number: 9558270
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are provided for tagging search results, organizing tagged search results for later access from various devices, public sharing of tagged search results, and/or providing targeted content based upon search results tagged by a user. That is, a user may tag a search result (e.g., a website, an image, a social network profile, etc.), such as through a one-click user input, with a tag to create a tagged search result. The tagged search result may be organized into a public tag collection for sharing and/or exploration of tagged search results by other users. The tagged search result may be organized into a personal tag collection for later access by the user from any device. Because the tagged search result may be indicative of an interest of the user, targeted content associated with the tagged search result may be provided to the user.

  • Publication number: 20150336105
Abstract: An apparatus for destroying storage media devices includes a receptacle member having an open top end, a closed bottom end and a peripheral side wall or a pair of side walls defining a hollow interior of the receptacle member. A member is mounted for a rotation adjacent the receptacle member and has an abrasive working surface. An electric motor causes the rotation of the member and a chute is positioned to deliver the one or more storage media devices into the hollow interior of the receptacle member. A cylinder and a pump urge the storage media devices into a contact with the abrasive working surface. The rotation of the abrasive member transforms at least a portion of the storage media devices contacting the abrasive member into particles, whereby the storage media devices are destructed sufficiently to prevent data mining from remnant(s) thereof or from the particles.

  • Publication number: 20150258302
Abstract: A personal and wearable device includes a strap, which is worn by the user, and a remote controller, which is held by a guardian or a teacher. The strap includes a built-in heart rate monitor, a built-in accelerometer and a built-in vibration motor, wherein the heart rate monitor and accelerometer are used to determine the current state of the child in real time. The accelerometer is used to monitor any sudden or repeated actions of the arms or limbs of the user in order to determine whether the user is undergoing an outburst based off the magnitude of the measured acceleration in the arm; and the vibration motor may generate vibrations, which are adjustable in strength via the remote controller. The device is compact in size and convenient to carry, and thus provides a realistic solution for the integration of autistic persons into mainstream schools, etc.

  • Publication number: 20150193542
Abstract: Architecture that computes a definitive answer to a user's top intent of a search query, and positions the top intent answer in a prominent way and at a prominent location of a results page or other search user interface, where the user is most likely to see the top intent answer in an expeditious manner. This may be at the top-most position of the page, above the search results and advertisements, but below the page header and search box. Additionally, the definitive and prominently-placed answer can be presented with an interactive, animated, and/or visually rich element that supplements the original intent. The top intent location can be the boldest element on the page, extend at least one full dimension of the page, use larger fonts and bolder colors than the rest of the search results, and which makes finding the answer easier and faster for the user to locate.
