  • Publication number: 20240025498
Abstract: A track shoe includes a base plate with a first linear edge perpendicular to a first axis extending along a movement direction. The base plate has a second edge spaced from the first edge and perpendicular to the first axis. A first and second side extend from the first edge to the second edge. One or both of the first or second side include: (a) first continuous curved edge extending from the first edge to the second edge, (b) plural first linear side edges interconnected with at least two of the linear side edges transversely oriented at non-perpendicular angles to the first and second edge; (c) a second curved edge and second linear side edges on opposite sides of the second curved edge, the second linear side edges extending from the first and second edges to the second curved edge; or (d) two or more curved edges without linear edge.

  • Publication number: 20230279915
Abstract: A vehicle brake system is provided that includes (or is formed from) a back plate configured to support a composite pad, at least one conditioning insert coupled to the back plate and configured to contact a surface of a wheel during a braking event and thereby to condition at least a portion of the surface of the wheel, and fins coupled with the at least one conditioning insert and configured to conduct heat generated by contact of the at least one conditioning insert with the at least the portion of the surface of the wheel away from the at least one conditioning insert.

  • Patent number: 6050444
Abstract: A consumable beverage dispenser is provided having a collapsible beverage container, a valve assembly, and a flexible tube or straw. The collapsible beverage container has at least one opening and the valve assembly is secured to the container at the opening. The valve assembly includes a flexible diaphragm disposed across the flow path such that beverage flow is permitted only outwardly from the container. The flexible tube extends outwardly from the valve assembly. When a user exerts sucking action on the end of the flexible tube, beverage is made to flow from the container out through the one-way valve assembly and into the flexible tube. As beverage is withdrawn, the container collapses and, when the user stops drinking, the flexible diaphragm closes to prevent air and back flow from entering the container. In one embodiment, the flexible tube is slidable within the valve assembly between an open and a closed position.
