  • Publication number: 20240123657
Abstract: Continuous compression molding machines (CCMMs) and methods of continuous compression molding a consolidated thermoplastic matrix composite material are disclosed herein. The CCMMs include a mold, a heat zone heating structure, a consolidation zone heating structure, and a stress relaxation zone heating structure. The CCMMs also include a press structure, a demold structure, and a supply structure. The methods include providing a thermoplastic matrix composite material (TMCM) that includes a thermoplastic material to a CCMM. During the providing, the methods also include heating the TMCM within a heat zone of the CCMM, cooling and consolidating the TMCM within a consolidation zone of the CCMM, relaxing stress within the TMCM within a stress relaxation zone of the CCMM, demolding the TMCM within a demold zone of the CCMM at a mold temperature that is greater than a glass transition temperature of the thermoplastic material, and periodically compressing the TMCM.

  • Patent number: 11962393
Abstract: A system for network agnostic satellite communications includes an antenna configured to receive at least one antenna receive beam including multiple receive carriers multiplexed in at least one of frequency or time. The system further includes a signal processor configured to receive the multiple receive carriers and to extract data from at least one receive carrier of the multiple receive carriers. The system further includes an input device configured to receive at least one desirable communication parameter. The system further includes a control processor designed to determine actual parameters corresponding to the multiple receive carriers of the at least one antenna receive beam. The control processor is further designed to select an optimal receive carrier by comparing the at least one desirable communication parameter to the actual parameters. The control processor is further designed to establish a current communication link with the optimal receive carrier.

  • Publication number: 20240091422
Abstract: A renal therapy system is disclosed. In an example, the renal therapy system includes a home renal therapy machine that stores, to a log file, dates of when renal therapies were performed and a type of each renal therapy that was performed. The system also includes a server that receives the log file from the home renal therapy machine. The server compares the dates and types of performed renal therapies stored in the log file to a device program that specifies dates for performing renal therapies and the types of renal therapies to be performed. The server displays a flag in a user interface of a clinician computer when there is a deviation from the comparison.

  • Patent number: 7114877
Abstract: An improved system for draining bunkers on golf courses and other sports playing areas, and for draining landscaped areas. A receptacle is positioned below the surface for receiving drain water and for discharging the water through an outlet. A perforated pipe water collection system can be attached to the receptacle to direct water to the receptacle interior space. A receptacle cover is removable to permit access to the receptacle interior space. The cover is sufficiently strong to support the overlying weight of people and equipment, and can have apertures for permitting water entry while resisting entry of sand and other solids into the interior space of the receptacle.

  • Publication number: 20060020047
Abstract: A method for the manufacture of polycarbonate by combining methane and inlet water to produce methanol, converting the methanol to propylene, gasoline aromatics, and gasoline olefins, converting the propylene and gasoline olefins to hydrogen, first benzene, and toluene, reacting the first benzene with propylene to form cumene, reacting the cumene with oxygen to form cumene hydroperoxide, cleaving the cumene hydroperoxide to produce acetone and phenol, reacting the phenol, additional phenol, and acetone to produce a dihydric aromatic compound, and reacting the dihydric aromatic compound with a carbonate precursor to form polycarbonate.

  • Patent number: 5454009
Abstract: A satellite communications system for dispersing energy over a wide bandwidth includes a transmitter, a communication link, and a receiver. The transmitter takes a digital data signal and modulates that signal at a prescribed carrier frequency. The modulated digital data signal is then spread over M adjacent digital channels (M.gtoreq.2 and being an integer multiple of 2), each channel containing the same information, to disperse the energy over a wide frequency range. The spectral bandwidth of the adjacent digital channels is chosen with compressed spacing to conserve bandwidth. Next, the spread modulated data signal is transmitted via the communication link to the receiver. In particular, a waveform generator at the transmitter generates a phase-aligned multichannel frequency diversity waveform according to a data clock at a predetermined phase relationship to the digital data.
