  • Publication number: 20040154118
Abstract: A device for treating a stain is disclosed. The device includes a scrubber which has a backing with an inner surface and an outer surface. Extending from the outer surface of the backing is a plurality of scrubbing protrusions. Fastened to the inner surface of the backing is an absorber such as a sponge. The backing and scrubbing protrusions may be molded from a flexible, resilient material, with the scrubbing protrusions being conical in shape with rounded ends. The absorber may be compressed to remove liquid held therein by folding the device about itself such that the backing is over the absorber and applying pressure.

  • Patent number: 6253710
Abstract: This invention relates to an odor control liquid and aerosolized composition for deodorizing and controlling odor of animal wastes by contact therewith, comprising a non-aqueous volatile carrier and an odor control agent. The liquid and aerosolized composition can be applied in liquid form directly to the animal litter and/or the animal container and/or the animal waste. A related object of this invention is to provide a method for preventing sticking and contamination on the surfaces of a litter container, comprising applying to the container an effective amount of a powdered release agent or powdered odor control agent in a non-aqueous volatile carrier.

  • Patent number: 5580111
Abstract: A device and method for handling animal waste products. Preferably, the device is used to separate animal waste products from unsoiled pet litter. In one embodiment, the device includes a waste-transferring handle that has a leading edge with an integral grate, and a trailing end that receives a removable waste-receiving receptacle. The grate includes cross members having crested upper surfaces. The spaces between the cross members define openings which retain animal waste and allow unsoiled litter to pass between. The crested upper surfaces of the cross members allow unsoiled litter to pass through the grate easily and preferably without shaking of the device.

  • Patent number: 5280978
Abstract: The present invention is a container device. It is comprised of a flexible container with a firm flexible collar around the opening. The collar is used to scoop the waste into the container. The collar can open, close and manipulate the shape of the opening to the container. The device also has a protective skirt of flexible material that surrounds it and protects the user and the container from contamination. The skirt contains a closure such as a draw string or adhesive tape. After use, the skirt is pulled back over the container and closed. The device is folded and packaged in a packaging-tool. The packaging-tool is a strong rigid sleeve in which the device is enclosed that is used to hold the waste in place when scooping.
