  • Publication number: 20140138380
Abstract: A closure for a container comprises tamper-evident means for indicating if the closure has been removed from the container. The tamper-evident means is provided within the interior of the closure.

  • Publication number: 20130270273
Abstract: A child-resistant closure comprises a body with a sidewall, the body including locking means. The sidewall has one or more pressing pads for releasing the locking means. The or each pad is supported on the sidewall by force insulating links which restrict lateral spreading of forces into the sidewall during inward deflection of the pad(s).

  • Publication number: 20130175273
Abstract: A screw-on closure, and a dispensing fitment for a container neck have co-operating orientation means defining a predetermined relative rotating orientation of the closure with respect to the fitment when it is screwed onto a container neck.

  • Publication number: 20130048638
Abstract: A self-piercing closure for a container includes a laminar closing member, a closure body, and a piercing member for piercing a closing member. After piercing of the closing member, a self-closing valve of the closure dispenses flowable media from the container. In some examples, the piercing member is formed separately from the closure body, and is attachable to the closure body. The closure body may include a deformable region, and deformation of the deformable region may allow the closure body to move from a first position to a second position. Movement of the closure body from the first position to the second position may activate the piercing means.

  • Publication number: 20130032565
Abstract: A pierceable, induction sealable seal for a container opening, the seal comprising a plurality of layers at least one of which is metallic and at least one of which is non-metallic, at least one of the non-metallic layers is complete and in use extends across a container opening to seal it. The area over which the at least one of the metallic layers extends is restricted to the region of the periphery of the seal whereby to facilitate induction sealing to the opening but to remain isolated from product in a container upon piercing of the seal.

  • Publication number: 20120267336
Abstract: A child-resistant closure (10) is provided and comprises a base (15) and a lid (20). The base has an inner skirt (50) and an outer skirt (25). The closure has locking means (81, 86) tor releasably locking the lid in a closed position. The outer skirt has one or more pressing zones (80, 85) which can be pressed to release the locking means. The inner skirt has one or more cut-outs (65, 70) in register with the or each pressing zone whereby to allow greater deflection thereof.

  • Publication number: 20120241480
Abstract: A closure (1) for a container, comprises a body (2) and an insert (3): The insert has a retaining section (36) for fitting it into the body (2). The retaining section (36) has a part engageable by a container neck such that, in use, the insert becomes trapped between the neck and the body. The body includes a jaw portion (30; 32) which clamps onto the container to trap the insert (3).
