  • Patent number: 10480583
Abstract: The present invention relates to a vehicle comprising: an internal combustion engine operable to rotate a crank shaft of the internal combustion engine; a transmission; at least one driving wheel rotationally connected to the transmission; a damping system arranged between the internal combustion engine and the transmission for dampening irregularity motions of the crank shaft, the damping system comprising an output splined portion; wherein the transmission is arranged for controllably rotationally connecting the output splined portion of the damping system to provide torque from the internal combustion engine to the at least one driving wheel via the transmission, wherein the output splined portion of the damping system is adapted to mate with a splined portion of a coupling shaft of the transmission for connecting the crank shaft to the transmission via the damping system.

  • Patent number: 9291242
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a transmission for a motor vehicle, wherein the transmission comprises an input shaft, at least first and second countershafts, and an output shaft. The input shaft is provided with a first driving gearwheel, which interacts with a first gearwheel arranged upon the first countershaft, and a second gearwheel arranged upon the second countershaft. A number of gear teeth of the first gearwheel is selected such that, in relation to the number of gear teeth of the first driving gearwheel, the number of gear teeth of the first gearwheel can be either reduced or increased with at least one gear tooth, without affecting the number of gear teeth upon the first driving gearwheel, whereby the reduction or increase in the number of gear teeth of the first gearwheel is compensated with a profile shift of the gear teeth of the first gearwheel.

  • Patent number: 6981929
Abstract: Vehicle differential with a differential housing (5) consisting of two pressed sheet metal halves (6). Each sheet metal half is made with radial, gutter-shaped depressions, which are limited at their outer ends by wall portions (14). A differential pinion shaft (15) is received in the depressions between the sheet metal halves. The wall portions (14) limit the axial movement of the differential pinion shaft.

  • Patent number: 6550431
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for degassing a cooling system for an internal combustion engine (1), in which a coolant is brought to circulate on the one hand in a cooling circuit between the engine and a radiator unit (2) and on the other between the engine and a bypass circuit, past the radiator unit. The coolant is hereby controlled, in dependence of the temperature, to flow through the cooling circuit and/or the bypass circuit, and the degassing is performed through draining off a limited coolant flow. The degassing is achieved by draining off of a limited portion of that coolant flow which is brought to flow through the bypass circuit, and is thus performed in dependence of the coolant temperature.

  • Patent number: 6289854
Abstract: A circulation pump for pumping a fluid, for example for heat interchange, by way of a rotating impeller is included in a circulation system that includes a first feeder liner from a heat source to a cooling device, a return line from the cooling device to the pump and a valve for shunting the outflow from the heat source via a bypass line back to the pump. The bypass line is connected to the pump in such a way that a flow essentially from this line produces and/or increases a pre-rotation of the inflow to the impeller, which pre-rotation results in a reduction of the power required by the engine.
