Abstract: An absorbent article for personal hygiene is disclosed with an absorbent core sealed between a liquid impermeable garment-side liner and a liquid permeable body-side cover together with an attached bacterial isolation pad, consisting of an absorbent layer sealed between an extension of the liquid impermeable garment-side liner and a liquid permeable topsheet which can be positioned to overlay the anal region of the body-side cover. A detachable bacterial isolation pad from the absorbent article and from the body-side cover is provided. Hygienic gripping tabs at the front-facing end of the absorbent article and at the rear-facing end of the bacterial isolation pad allow sanitary handling during removal of a soiled article.

The aperture can be either in the front or the rear of the garment, or both. The garment can support multiple pads in the crotch region in a stacked arrangement. The aperture is preferably either trapezoidal or formed from an arc-shaped cut and is constructed as a cut-out flap for selective access to the aperture. The novel aperture advantageously allows an absorbent pad to be extracted or inserted by the wearer or caregiver without removal of the undergarment or repositioning of the wearer from a prone or seated position.

Abstract: A signboard comprises a backboard having a frame which contains a sign member disposed contiguous with the frame so as to fill the area within the frame. The sign member has a rear surface releasably attached to the backboard, for example by means of a magnetic strip, said rear surface also having a recess. The configuration is such that pressure applied to a region of the front surface of the sign member over the area of the recess causes said sign member to lift along its opposite edge sufficiently to facilitate its removal. Alternatively, a plurality of sign members may be provided, disposed contiguous with each other and with the frame, at least one of which sign members is capable of being lifted by applied pressure.
