    Abstract: Encapsulated aluminum salts are produced by combining and heating an aqueous aluminum salt selected from aluminum halohydrate, aluminum nitrohydrate and mixtures thereof; a hydrophobic liquid; and a carboxylate. The mixture is heated until substantially all of the free water has been removed. The encapsulated aluminum salts precipitate out after the removal of the water.
