Abstract: A document photosensor is provided which comprises a substrate 11, 12, a bracket 41, 42 disposed on substrate 11, 12 for forming a light diffusion chamber 53 and a light receiving chamber 58 separated from each other, an LED chip 21, 31 surface-mounted on substrate 11, 12 in light diffusion chamber 53, and a PD chip 37, 38 surface-mounted on substrate 11, 12 in light receiving chamber 58. These chips 21, 37, 31 and 38 are secured at precise locations on a substrate 11 and 12 with accuracy on the order of a few micrometers or less to exactly detect by PD chip 37, 38 a light irradiated from LED chip 21 or 31 after reflection of the light on a bill 50 moved along a passageway 55 to improve validation performance of bill 50.

Abstract: A document recycle box is provided to comprise: a housing 60, a cover 52 rotatably attached to housing 60, a convey belt device 51 of a recycle conveyor device 50 attached to one of housing 60 or cover 52 along one side of a recycle pathway 11 extending within housing 60, a plurality of rollers 53 of recycle conveyor device 50 attached to the other of housing 60 or cover 52 along the other side of recycle pathway 11 on the opposite side of conveyor belt device 51, and a drum device 43 rotatably disposed within housing 60. Cover 52 may be released from housing 60 to move recycle conveyor 50 away from rollers 53 to easily remove a jammed document within recycle pathway 11.

Abstract: A conveyance control device is provided to comprise a turning device 13 that has a trifurcate intersection 7 and a deflector 20 of three vertexes 21, 22, 23 rotatably supported in trifurcate intersection 7, an actuating device 30 for moving each of three vertexes 21, 22, 23 of deflector 20 to open gates 27, 28, 29 defined between vertexes 21, 22, 23 and related inner surfaces 7a, 7b, 7c of trifurcate intersection 7, and a conveyance device 9 for transporting a document along shuttle, reserve and recycle pathways 5, 10, 11 and for transporting the document through each gate 27, 28, 29 from one to another of the shuttle, reserve and recycle pathways 5, 10, 11.

Communications device 5 retrieves from remotely operable signal an account number of a holder of the account at financial database 7. Payment device 6 receives a monetary signal indicative of a transaction fee, withdraws the amount of transaction fee from the correct holder's account to produce an authorization signal to communications device 5 that drives automated machine 1 without credit transaction.
