  • Publication number: 20210167822
Abstract: Systems and methods for creating non-orthogonal dimensionality between signals are disclosed. Signals are received from at least one electronic device. An adjustment of a parameter of a received signal of a first device of the at least one of the electronic device that would result in an adjusted signal that is not orthogonal but differentiates the signal from at least one other signal of the received signals is determined. An instruction is communicated to the first device to implement the adjustment of the parameter.

  • Publication number: 20070223476
Abstract: A method and system for establishing communication with a device is provided. Aspects of an exemplary embodiment include detecting, at a first device, a physical interaction between the first device and a second device; determining a network address usable for establishing communication between the first and second devices based on information derived from the detected physical interaction; and providing for at least one of sending a message directed to the network address from the first device to the second device and assigning the network address to the first device for receiving a message directed to the network address.

  • Publication number: 20070180401
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for displaying windows on a graphical user interface based on relative priorities associated with the windows are disclosed. According to one method, relative priorities of a plurality of windows of a graphical user interface are determined. Further, relative priorities of a plurality of portions of at least one of the windows are determined. The windows are automatically arranged on the graphical user interface based on the relative priorities of the windows and based on the relative priorities of the portions. A higher priority window may cover a lower priority portion of a lower priority window to provide for a simultaneous viewing of the higher priority window and a higher priority portion of the lower priority window.

  • Publication number: 20070150827
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for protecting information on a user interface based on a viewability of the information are disclosed. According to one method, a viewing position of a person other than a user with respect to information on a user interface is identified. An information viewability threshold is determined based on the information on the user interface. Further, an action associated with the user interface is performed based on the identified viewing position and the determined information viewability threshold.

  • Publication number: 20070073770
Abstract: The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer program products for resource-to-resource metadata association. According to one method, a source resource and a destination resource are identified. A type of at least one of the source and destination resources is identified and used to select a transform for mapping data values associated with the resource to the destination resource as metadata. Based on the transform, at least one of the data values associated with the source resource is associated with a destination resource as metadata.

  • Publication number: 20070073688
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products for automatically associating data with a resource as metadata based on a characteristic of the resource are disclosed. According to one method, a metadata association rule is defined for a metadata associator. The metadata association rule specifies a data value to be associated with a resource as metadata based on a characteristic of the resource. A user interface is provided for associating at least one resource with a metadata associator. In response to a resource being associated with the metadata associator via a user interface, the data value is associated with the resource as metadata based on the metadata association rule. The specified data value may be defined prior to the resource being associated with the metadata and independently of both the resource and a file system with which the resource is associated.

  • Publication number: 20070073751
Abstract: User interfaces and related methods, systems, and computer program products for automatically associating data with a resource as metadata are disclosed. According to one method, a visual representation of data to be associated with a resource as metadata is displayed. A visual representation of a resource is displayed. User input is monitored for the presence or occurrence of the association action for associating the resource representation with the data representation. In response to detecting the association action, the data is automatically associated with the resource as metadata. The metadata is independent of an association between the resource and a file system for storing the resource.

  • Publication number: 20060265380
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are disclosed for preventing double form submissions at a user agent in a communication network. A form is received from a remote endpoint in the communication network. User input is monitored to detect submission initiation for the received form. In response to detecting submission initiation for the received form, the user agent determines whether a matching previous form submission exists. The determination of whether a matching previous form submission exists is performed by the user agent independent of any scripts received with the form. Submission of the received form is controlled based on the determination of whether a matching previous form submission exists.

  • Publication number: 20060221198
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for allowing a user to establish variable image sizes in a digital image capture device having an image sensor are described. Aspects of the present invention include allowing the user to specify a custom output size for an image about to be captured using the image capture device by specifying a value for one of an image dimension, an aspect ratio of the image, and a print size of the image; determining from the user-specified output size for the image a corresponding capture area of the image sensor; capturing sensor data corresponding only to the capture area of the image sensor; and processing the captured sensor data into the image of the user-specified output size.
