  • Publication number: 20220280723
Abstract: A power pack assembly for a medicament delivery device is presented having a housing extending along a longitudinal axis and having a proximal and a distal end, a container carrier unit arranged longitudinally and bi-directionally movable in relation to the housing, a plunger pusher releasably connected to the container carrier unit, and an actuator unit connected to the plunger pusher, wherein the actuator unit is configured to drive the plunger pusher in a sequence in which the plunger pusher and the container unit are moved together distally relative to the housing until a virtual distal stop is met. Proximal movement of the plunger pusher causes the container carrier unit to interact with a proximal stop element of the housing whereby the plunger pusher is released from the container carrier unit and the plunger pusher continues to move proximally a further distance.

  • Publication number: 20210187199
Abstract: Systems and methods for delivering a dose of a substance to a living being are disclosed. In one implementation, a device includes (i) a contact sensor positioned such that the contact sensor is in contact with an object when the device is in a proper position for delivering a dose of the substance to the object, (ii) a temperature sensor, (iii) a delivery apparatus configured to deliver a dose of the substance to the object after the delivery apparatus is activated, and a transmitter configured to communicate with an external device. The device further includes one or more processors configured to determine, using the contact sensor, whether the contact sensor is in contact with the object and activate the delivery apparatus after determining that the contact sensor is in contact with the object. The delivery apparatus, after being activated, delivers a dose of the substance to the object.

  • Publication number: 20210138160
Abstract: An autoinjector device includes a dose cassette having an outer container and a needle cap having a base with a diameter larger than the outer container of the dose cassette. The autoinjector device further include a housing for receiving the dose cassette, a clasp mechanism configured to hold the dose cassette within the housing, and an actuator configured to move the dose cassette proximally within the housing after the dose cassette is secured within the housing. The movement of the dose cassette causes the base of the needle cap to mechanically engage with a distal end of the housing, and the mechanical engagement between the base of the needle cap and the distal end of the housing causes the needle cap to separate from the dose cassette.

Abstract: An autoinjection housing device includes a housing for receiving a dose cassette, a base latch configured to hold the dose cassette within the housing, and a back plate operably connected to a spring. The back plate is configured to move proximally within the housing upon receipt of the dose cassette into the housing, and the proximal movement of the back plate compresses the spring. The autoinjection housing device further includes an actuator operably connected to the base latch. The actuator is configured to move the base latch and the dose cassette proximally within the housing after the dose cassette is secured in the housing. The base latch is configured to move radially outwards upon said proximal movement of the base latch within the housing.
