Abstract: A method and devices for a mobile person's information retrieval where, when the person is moving, on coming closer to a point of destination, defined by him as being interesting, than a specified threshold separation, he will be informed of such a point of interest and, on request, additional data will be presented on it, such as driving instructions or a map. The person is also offered a button with which he can make a call to the phone number of the point of interest presented each time. The person can add by himself new points of interest and select from available points of interest individual or several points of interest on the basis of their class, such as, e.g. restaurants or service stations.

Abstract: The user of a mobile terminal enters keywords indicative of categories of messages he wishes to peruse. When the mobile terminal receives a message, keywords associated with the message are compared with the user-entered keywords; if any match, a banner portion of the message is displayed on the mobile terminal and the mobile terminal issues a sensible alert. The user may request to view the message body associated with the banner portion. The user may request to take actions regarding the message body, such as storing the message body in the mobile terminal or calling a telephone number contained in the message body.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for storing position data, in particular for use in a navigation and/or road information service system. In order to simplify considerably the storage of position data, in particular for entering position data for setting up an electronically stored address book, the invention provides that the current position is detected with the aid of a position-finding system, the current position is allocated a title, and the current position is stored with the allocated title such that the stored position can be selected with the aid of the associated title.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of transmitting a message from a wireless radio-frequency short-range communication network (20) via a gateway (21) to a network (14, 24) external to the communication network (20). Abstract: To facilitate calling from a mobile station, a method and a device have been invented by means of which the selection of the phone number of a subscriber B has been made easier. When using a mobile station as a navigation device or in connection with one, a connection for one or more records to phone numbers in an abbreviated dialling memory of the mobile station is defined in a geographical point of interest (POI) database of the navigation device. In this way, after the user has first selected his navigation POI, he can make a call to the POI by using a specific ‘call POI’ switch without having to search the abbreviated dialling memory for a phone number corresponding to the navigation POI at hand and without himself having to dial the phone number.
