  • Publication number: 20180142449
Abstract: The invention relates to the provision of apparatus which includes a panel, and the panel itself for the at least partial collection and/or movement of liquid across a surface thereof typically the surface on which the liquid impacts, said panel formed by a series of members which are respectfully located and formed so as to define a plurality of slots and/or apertures in the said panel whilst the same are provided in a form to ensure that a significant proportion of the liquid passes along the surface on which the same impacts to be collected and/or dispensed from the panel rather than passing through the said slots and/or apertures.

  • Publication number: 20060051561
Abstract: The invention relates to the application of a coating to a substrate in which the coating includes a polymer material and the coating is selectively fluorinated and/or cured to improve the liquid repellance of the same. The invention also provides for the selective fluorination and/or curing of selected areas of the coating thus, when completed, providing a coating which has regions of improved liquid repellance with respect to the remaining regions and which remaining regions may be utilized as liquid collection areas.

  • Publication number: 20040022945
Abstract: A method for forming a coating on a substrate using an atmospheric pressure plasma discharge. The method comprises introducing an atomized liquid and/or solid coating-forming material into an atmospheric pressure plasma discharge and/or an ionized gas stream resulting therefrom, and exposing the substrate to the atomized coating-forming material. The application also described a method for polymerizing a polymer forming material, and further to apparatus for forming a coating on a substrate.
