  • Publication number: 20230001172
Abstract: Fluid connector systems including first and second valve assemblies couplable together to form a fluid pathway therethrough, and can resist fluid flow through the connector system when the valve assemblies are separated from each other, the first valve assembly including a compressible valve within a cavity and configured to surround a post forming a fluid passage, the compressible valve can resist fluid flow through the post in a first position and to reduce the resistance to fluid flow through the post in a second position, and the second valve assembly including a valve plug positioned within a bore and configured to obstruct a fluid passage, such that when the valve assemblies are coupled together the compressible valve is moved toward the second position and the post extends through the compressible valve and the valve plug to form the fluid pathway through the connector system.

  • Publication number: 20220387707
Abstract: A drip chamber insert may include an elongate body portion comprising an upper surface, and a base portion positioned downstream of the elongate body portion for coupling to a drip chamber. The base portion may have an upper surface and a lower surface defining an outlet orifice of the drip chamber insert. The drip chamber insert may further include a first chamber and a second chamber. The first chamber may be disposed in the elongate body portion and fluidly coupled to the upper surface via an inlet orifice and to the outlet orifice via the base portion. An anti-run-dry membrane may be disposed on the upper surface of the elongate body portion extending over the inlet orifice. The second chamber may be disposed in the elongate body portion extending from the upper surface to the base portion. A low flowrate orifice may extend from a base of the second chamber into the base portion for fluidly coupling the second chamber with the outlet orifice.

  • Publication number: 20220387704
Abstract: IV stand assemblies are provided that include a base, a stand, a platform and a motorized pole assembly having a housing, a pole and a drive. The drive moves the pole to extend and retract the pole relative to the housing. A weight measurement assembly measures weight of a fluid within a fluid container hanging from the IV stand assembly. IV stand assemblies with a pulley/belt assembly and methods of operating IV assemblies are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20220355095
Abstract: A needleless connector may include a housing having a proximal end, a distal end, and an inner surface defining an internal cavity extending between the proximal and distal ends. A compressible valve may be disposed within the internal cavity. The compressible valve may include a head portion, a flange portion for securing the compressible valve in the housing, and a body portion extending between the head portion and the flange portion. The body portion may include a cylindrical outer surface having an external notch extending along a portion of a circumference of the cylindrical outer surface and recessed radially-inward from the cylindrical outer surface. The body portion may further include a planar face extending distally from the external notch and disposed between the external notch and the flange portion. The planar face may be recessed radially inward relative to at least a portion of the cylindrical outer surface.

  • Publication number: 20220096758
Abstract: In-line filter devices are described herein. An in-line filter device includes an inlet portion, an outlet portion, a first filter housing, a first flow path, and a first filter media. The first filter housing defining a first filter volume. The first flow path is defined between the inlet portion and the first filter volume to provide fluid communication between the inlet portion and the first filter volume. The second flow path is defined between the first filter volume and the outlet portion to provide fluid communication between the first filter volume and the outlet portion. The first filter media is disposed within the first filter volume, wherein the first filter media permits flow from the first flow path to the second flow path and captures particulate from the flow.

  • Publication number: 20220088297
Abstract: IV filters are described herein. An IV filter includes a body, a filter media, and a bulb. The body defines a body volume. The filter media is disposed within the body volume. The filter media defines an inlet portion of the body volume and an outlet portion of the body volume. The filter media permits inlet flow from the inlet portion of the body volume to the outlet portion of the body volume and captures particulate from the inlet flow. The bulb defines a bulb volume in fluid communication with the outlet portion of the body volume. The bulb is deformable to compress the bulb volume and direct back flow from the outlet portion of the body volume through the filter media and into the inlet portion of the body volume, displacing particulate captured in the filter media into the inlet portion of the body volume.
