  • Patent number: 9955789
Abstract: Exercise treadmill chair platform that resides horizontally over a treadmill when it is not in use to stabilize an office chair while it resides beneath the desk. The platform has a top and bottom flat plate, aligned, square or rectangular shaped, and of a low profile, that slides over the treadmill to cover the belt when the treadmill is not in use, thus enabling the user to safely sit at the desk without having to store away the treadmill. The platform may further comprise a right and left side wall; and, four corner wheels to assist the user in moving the platform, and two bumpers to protect the wheels from entanglements. The top flat plate further comprises oval shaped grooves arranged in a circle, designed to house the wheels of a variety of types of swivel chairs in order to keep the chair from rolling off of the platform.

  • Patent number: 9700135
Abstract: An electric height adjustable desk with synchronous moving footrest, method of use, and a rotatable footrest assembly. The desk comprises: a desktop; two electric height adjustable desk leg members; two horizontal base members; and a rotatable footrest assembly. The rotatable footrest assembly comprises: two footrest frame members; two pivot spring connection units; and a rotatable footrest unit comprising a U-shaped foot bar member connected on each end to a pivot spring connection unit. Each spring connection unit comprises: a gas spring; a tension member; and both are connected to a pivot plate member. The tension member and the gas spring work together to rotate the footrest unit to a horizontal position while the desktop rises, and to a vertical position while the desktop is lowered. The tension member may further comprise an extension member to delay rotating the footrest unit until the desktop has reached a selected height.

  • Publication number: 20170071332
Abstract: Height adjustable desks with a keyboard tray system that is irradiated by an ultraviolet light disinfectant unit. The ultraviolet light unit resides parallel to and above the keyboard tray while being rigidly affixed to the underside of the desktop. The ultraviolet light unit also has the ability to irradiate the keyboard tray top when it is extended for typing and/or when it is retracted under the desktop for storage. And the ultraviolet light unit may be manually activated using a power switch located, for example, with the telescopic desk legs user control panel. And/or the ultraviolet light unit may be automatedly controlled, such as by being connected to a motion sensor to detect when a user is within close proximity to the keyboard, and thus turn off the UV light; and/or via a timer mechanism that activates the UV light unit for a regularly scheduled eradiation session.

  • Publication number: 20170007017
Abstract: A portable electric height adjustable platform assembly, and method of use, the assembly residing on a fixed height desktop to move a computer monitor, keyboard, and mouse between a user's sitting and standing position. The platform assembly comprises: a horizontally positioned platform unit configured for supporting a computer keyboard and mouse; a height adjustable lifting column unit comprising three telescopic sections, affixed vertically to the platform, with the outer section positioned above the platform unit to affix the monitor to, and the middle and inner section extensible below the platform to raise-lower the assembly; a base unit affixed to the bottom end of the lifting column unit, and configured to stabilize the assembly in a vertical position; an electric actuator housed within and able to activate the lifting column unit to vertically extend and collapse the telescopic sections, thus simultaneously raising and lowering the computer monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

  • Patent number: 9515470
Abstract: A grommet assembly, such as for height adjustable desks, comprising the components: a universal cylindrical desktop grommet; a grommet flat plate (optional) with a centrally located aperture, and affixed to the underside of the desk aperture; a grommet fabric sleeve configured as a vertically oriented housing suspended downward from the desktop aperture comprising a cylindrical exterior and interior side wall; and, an internal retaining ring encased between two folds within the sleeve interior side wall by folding the sleeve top end inward and downward, the retaining ring functioning to hold the sleeve in position with the desktop aperture. The grommet assembly allows cables to move up/down within a grommet sleeve easily, unimpeded while protecting the cable(s) from damage due to abrasive surface contact and bending of the cable. This is especially suitable for height adjustable desks to allow free movement of the cable as the desk moves up/down.
