  • Patent number: 8819040
Abstract: A method and system for querying a database involves dragging and dropping selected search criteria from one portion of a display to another portion of a display. When searching multiple criteria, a Boolean operation associated with the method depends upon the respective positions of the search criteria in the display. The method also allows for the results of the search to be dynamically updated as different criteria are selected.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: August 26, 2014
    Assignee: Roche Diagnostics Operations, Inc.
Inventors: Schuyler Buck, Morris J. Young, Jason Bush, Scott W. Leahy, Ryan Scott McKinney
  • Patent number: 8452953
Abstract: Insulin pump programming software is disclosed that permits selectively modifying insulin pump configuration files. The software facilitates retrieving a source file consisting of a configuration file or portion thereof from a source location. The source file may include general configuration data and insulin delivery data. Once retrieved, the source file may be edited, then the entire source file or a portion thereof may be saved to a target configuration file at one or more target locations. Only the portion of the target configuration file corresponding to the saved source file or portion thereof is replaced by the source file.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 8365065
Abstract: A system and method for creating a template configured to generate reports for reporting medical information. The method allows a user to generate a single template that may be then utilized in order to create a plurality of reports for numerous patients. The template is created by dragging and dropping the desired information onto a blank report. Once the desired format of the template has been set by the user, the user may save the template for future use.

  • Patent number: 8237715
Abstract: A system is disclosed wherein a graphical representation of a profile may be adjusted to adjust one or more values of the profile. The profile may includes data values corresponding to respective time periods. The data values being represented by data representations in the graphical representation. A non-contiguous grouping of the data representations may be selected by an operator to adjust the data values of the profile corresponding to the non-contiguous grouping of data representations. A contiguous grouping of the data representations may be selected by an operator to adjust the data values of the profile corresponding to the non-contiguous grouping of data representations.

  • Patent number: 8231562
Abstract: An insulin pump configuration programming approach is disclosed that permits setting parameters of pump configuration files to invalid values. An operator may continue with the programming workflow after setting the invalid value. The configuration file including the invalid value may be saved to a memory location of a computing device, but cannot be saved to the pump. Invalid item icons are presented when a parameter is set to an invalid value, and instructions for correcting the invalidity condition are provided when an invalid item icon is hovered over using a pointing device.

  • Patent number: 8156070
Abstract: Insulin pump programming software is disclosed that generates thumbnail images of basal rate profile data contained in source files and displays the images to permit an operator to select the desired profile data without opening the source files. The software also permits the operator to verify changes to pump profiles before programming the pump by displaying thumbnail images of the current pump profile and the new pump profile.

  • Publication number: 20100216168
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of evaluating the angiogenic potential of a tumor, and for predicting the efficacy of anti-angiogenic therapies on an individualized basis. The method of the invention involves preparing an angiogenic signature for malignant cells in culture by assaying for the presence or level of one or more angiogenesis-related factors selected from VEGF/VPF, IL8/CXCL8, TGF-?1, TGF-?2, TGF-?3, bFGF/FGF-2, EGF, PDGF-AA, PDGF-AA/BB, IP-10, and Flt-3 ligand. The angiogenic signature may be prepared from cultures maintained under normoxic and/or hypoxic environments. The invention may be used in conjunction with chemoresponse testing of anti-tumor agents, to predict or suggest a combination therapy for cancer patients.
