  • Publication number: 20240177196
Abstract: Systems are disclosed for determining contextual segments for targeting contextual advertising in metaverses. The system can deploy an observer avatar in a metaverse to capture information inside a portion of a metaverse from behaviors and interactions of a target user avatar. The observer avatar can capture audio, video, images, and text perceived by the observer avatar in the area of the user avatar, along with metadata describing the captured information. Using the captured observations, the system can determine contextual segments classifying the portion of the metaverse. Using a library of the contextual segments, advertisers can distribute contextually targeted advertisements.

  • Publication number: 20240152915
Abstract: Techniques for generating smart contract transaction data from a program embedded in the smart contract are disclosed. A distributed ledger system stores a smart contract specifying conditions of a transaction. Based on a user input to initiate the transaction, the system executes the smart contract transaction on the distributed ledger. A node executing the smart contract transaction executes the transaction verification program embedded within the smart contract. The transaction verification program includes instructions for transmitting the parameters of the transaction to a third party.

  • Patent number: 11792459
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for Content On Demand (COD) asset insertion. A COD asset insertion decision system (CODAID) is communicatively coupled to a content distributer to process information about COD content selections by Customer Premises Equipment (CPEs). An auction system is communicatively coupled to the CODAID and to a plurality of asset providers to process information about assets of the providers, to provide an auction for asset opportunities in the COD content selections, to receive bids for the asset opportunities, and to rank the auctioned assets according to bid. The CODAID further ranks the auctioned assets based in part on the COD content selection information and the asset information, identifies one or more of the further ranked assets for insertion into the COD content selection, and directs the content distributer to insert the identified one or more further ranked assets into the COD content selection.

  • Publication number: 20200344512
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for distributing asset opportunities across COD providers. One system includes an asset load manager (ALM) that receives information from the COD providers about asset opportunities for COD content of the COD providers. The ALM selected asset opportunity and delivers it to a trading platform that offers the asset opportunity to the remaining COD providers. The ALM also receives, from the trading platform, sale information of the asset opportunity to another of the COD providers and information of an asset used to fill the asset opportunity. An asset opportunity information system (AOIS) interfaces with an asset decision system (ADS), to direct the ADS to configure asset rankings and removals according to rules of the second COD provider. The ADS directs an asset insertion into the COD content of the first COD provider based on the asset ranking.

  • Publication number: 20180054401
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for messaging between user equipment (UEs) in a Content On Demand (COD) network. In one embodiment, a system comprises a first COD provider operable to process a request for COD content from a first of a plurality of UEs, to deliver the COD content to the first UE, and to process a first message from the first UE. The first message includes an invitation to a second of the UEs to view the COD content. A router is communicatively coupled to the first COD provider. The router is operable to route the first message to the second UE and to process a selection message from the second UE. The selection message requests that the COD content be delivered to the second UE. The router is further operable to direct a media server to deliver the COD content to the second UE.

  • Patent number: 9860577
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for Content On Demand (COD) asset insertion. A COD asset insertion decision system (CODAID) is communicatively coupled to a content distributor to process information about a COD content selection by a Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). The CODAID also processes information about assets from asset providers. The CODAID ranks the assets based in part on the COD content selection information and the asset information, identifies one or more of the ranked assets for insertion into the COD content selection, and directs the content distributor to insert the identified one or more ranked assets into the COD content selection. The system also includes an auction system which identifies asset placement opportunities remaining in the COD content selection after the CODAID identifies the one or more ranked assets for insertion so as to provide an auction for the asset placement opportunities.

  • Patent number: 9762962
Abstract: Systems and methods presented herein provide for countering functionality on a UE that prevents the UE from requesting asset insertion into COD content. An ADS evaluates and ranks a plurality of assets for insertion into the selected COD content. A request manager determines that the UE is blocking a request for asset insertion into COD content selected by the UE, and generates a message for the UE requesting payload delivery information for the selected COD content based on the determination. The message circumvents the blocking and directs the UE to request asset insertion. The request manager processes a response from the UE for the payload delivery information, extracts a request for asset insertion from the response, directs the ADS to select a first of the assets based on the ranking, and directs the remote COD provider to insert the first asset with the selected COD content.

  • Publication number: 20170142468
Abstract: Embodiments herein provide for linking internet-based user accounts to their equipment for improved targeted advertising. A link manager communicatively couples a user's internet account to UE being operated by the user, provides the user with a login to the user's internet account via the UE, and retrieves profile information from the user's internet account, including interests of the user. A campaign manager configures asset campaigns for insertion of assets into COD content. And, an ADS determines that a COD content has been selected by the UE, retrieves the asset campaigns from the campaign manager, analyzes the user's interests, identifies an asset of the campaigns to insert into the selected COD content based on the user's interests, qualifies/ranks the identified asset with other assets of the campaigns, and directs insertion of the identified asset in the COD content at a headend after the identified asset has been qualified and ranked.
