Abstract: A firearm environmental recording apparatus, which may be used with a firearm environmental recording system, may include: a firearm attachment structure configured to attach to portions of a firearm; a processing unit; a camera configured to record image data; a microphone configured to record audio data; and an inertial sensor module configured to provide to orientation data. The image data, audio data, and orientation data may be associated with and/or stored in a database, such as a database of a network. Preferably, the apparatus may comprise a key which may be removably coupled to the body of the apparatus, and the key may govern or enable a first processor of the apparatus to access data in an auxiliary data store of the apparatus.
