Abstract: A cooling or freezing device which includes a helical coil into which a compressed gas is forced; a cylindrical chamber that is disposed adjacent to the helical coil; and an insulating sleeve. The coil is formed in a cylindrical form and enclosed within the insulating sleeve, while the insulating sleeve is constructed and arranged for receiving a bottle or can for cooling. A compressed gas cylinder is disposed within the cylindrical chamber; and an actuation member is coupled with the cylindrical chamber and constructed and arranged to selectively expel the compressed gas from the compressed gas cylinder to the helical coil.

Abstract: A jewelry clasp that includes separate end pieces and a center housing that is adapted to engage and release with the separate end pieces. Each of the end pieces supports a magnet and further includes a blind passageway having the magnet disposed at a base of the blind passageway. The blind passageway further includes an annular slot, and the center housing includes a push button arrangement enabling engagement and release of the clasp. A pair of arms is supported from opposed sides of the center housing and the center housing further includes a pair of end flanges that are selectively engageable with the slot in the respective end pieces.

Abstract: A jewelry clasp for use with a jewelry band including a base piece having an open passage at one side thereof; an insert piece having an attachment end and an insert end; a first magnetic member disposed at a bottom of the open passage; and a second magnetic member disposed at a free end of the insert end of the insert piece. The insert piece has an insert position in which the insert end is free to extend into and out of the open passage, and a locked position in which the insert piece is secured with the base piece by relative rotation.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for using shared-media networks in a connection-based networking scheme. The method and apparatus may include filtering of packets received by a switch in the shared-media subnetwork. In-line filtering of packets is also disclosed.
