Abstract: A method of controlling an electromechanical brake system. The method comprises measuring a voltage of a motor, measuring a current of the motor, and estimating a position of a component of the electromechanical brake system based on the voltage and the current. The method comprises estimating a force imposed by the component based on the voltage and the current, and estimating a hydraulic pressure associated with a hydraulic brake system. In an apply operation, the force of the component is corrected based on the hydraulic pressure. In a release operation, the position of the component is corrected based on the hydraulic pressure.

Abstract: The disclosure describes various aspects of a system with scalable and programmable coherent waveform generators. A network and digital-to-analog conversion (DAC) cards used by the network are described where each DAC card has a clock divider/replicator device with an input SYNC pin, a digital logic component, and one or more DAC components, and each output of the DAC components is used to control optical beams for a separate qubit of a quantum information processing (QIP) system. The network also includes a first distribution network to provide a clock signal to the clock divider/replicator device in the DAC cards, and a second distribution network to provide a start signal to the DAC cards, where the start signal is used by the digital logic component in the DAC card to assert the input SYNC pin when the start signal is asserted unless it is masked by the digital logic component.

Abstract: A delivery portal, which may be at a loading dock, includes a sensor configured to detect a pallet, platform or stack of goods as it passes through the portal. A computer is programmed to receive information from the sensor and to identify the pallet based upon the information. The computer is further programmed to compare the identified pallet to a database to determine if the identified pallet should be passing through the portal. For example, the computer determines whether the pallet is being loaded onto the wrong truck or onto the right truck but in the wrong sequence. The sensor for detecting the pallet may be an RFID sensor reading an RFID tag on the pallets. The portal may be a loading dock. The database may indicate a sequence for loading a plurality of pallets including the identified pallet onto a truck at the loading dock.

The data processing system can select an action-inventory for the action corresponding to the request. The data processing system can generate, using the address template, an address. The address can include a substring having the parameter used to control execution of the action. The data processing system can direct an action data structure including the address to the agent to cause the agent to execute the action and to provide output for presentation.

The receiver includes a photodetector, a common-mode adjustment circuit, an analog front-end, an eye scan circuit, and a control unit. The photodetector generates an input photocurrent responsive to a received optical signal. The common-mode adjustment circuit generates an adjusted input current based on the input photocurrent. The analog front-end generates a differential voltage based on the adjusted input current. Based on the differential voltage, the eye scan circuit generates an eye scan information defining a first outer eye and a second outer eye in an eye diagram. The control unit tunes the common-mode adjustment circuit based on a relative height metric of a first height of the first outer eye and a second height of the second outer eye to remove a portion of the common-mode current from the input photocurrent.
