  • Patent number: 11305972
Abstract: A vehicle lift utilizes a locally stored energy source configured to deliver energy at a high rate to a DC motor to provide a fast rise time and to replenish that energy at a lower rate over a relatively longer period of time.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 14, 2013
Date of Patent: April 19, 2022
    Assignee: VEHCILE SERVICE GROUP, LLC

  • Patent number: 9254990
Abstract: An automotive lift comprises a pair of runway sections. Each runway section comprises a deck portion, two pairs of legs, and a pair of elongate sliding members. The pairs of legs are pivotally coupled with the deck portion. The elongate sliding members are pivotally coupled with the pairs of legs and are slidable relative to the deck portion. A hydraulic cylinder assembly is coupled with the deck portion by a clevis and with the elongate sliding members by a piston and piston block. The hydraulic cylinder assembly is operable to translate the elongate sliding members relative to the deck portion, thereby pivoting the pairs of legs relative to the deck portion to lift the deck portion relative to the ground. A hydraulic system is operable to synchronize lifting of the runway sections. A braking mechanism is configured to restrict descent of the runway sections.

  • Patent number: 8869943
Abstract: A vehicle lift comprises a lifting mechanism configured to lift a vehicle for servicing, and at least one horizontal platform attached to a top of the lifting mechanism to engage with an underside of the vehicle. Adjustable slide members are movably attached to opposite ends of the horizontal platform and each are configured to move linearly in a horizontal path to align with the lifting points on the vehicle. Each slide member is both pivotally and slidingly engaged with the horizontal platform, and each slide member has a normally horizontal position. When the slide member is horizontal, the slide member is automatically constrained or locked to prevent linear movement of the slide member. When one end of the slide member is lifted to an angular position, the constraint is automatically disengaged and a linear slide bearing is engaged. When the slide member is in the angular position, the slide member can be easily adjusted via the bearings to match with a pick up point on an underside of a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 7175031
Abstract: A tool holder having a support member and first and second shelf portions is disclosed. The first shelf portion includes apertures capable of receiving and holding an impact tool or a cup or similar object. The first shelf portion also has slots capable of receiving and holding one or more tools. The second shelf portion is comprised of a plurality of elongated members that are spaced apart such that there are slot-like gaps between the members. The slot-like gaps are capable of receiving and holding one or more tools. The distal end of the elongated members at each end of the plurality of elongated members comprising the second shelf portion extends upward, allowing the holder to hold a coiled hose, cord, or other coiled object. The holder is made of a single piece of steel without welds.
