  • Publication number: 20170262899
Abstract: A computer has a processor and nontransitory memory. The computer receives a list of search keywords to propose to a search engine. For search keywords that are too infrequently used to have historical data to estimate keyword performance, the computer computes linguistic similarity between the sparse-data keyword to other keywords that have sufficient historical keyword performance data to permit a statistically sound estimate for keyword performance. The estimates are submitted to a search engine, and updated by grouping the sparse-data keywords into groups, including at least a high-performing group and a low-performing group, and reallocating budget from the keywords of the low-performing group to keywords of the high-performing group, by reducing estimates for keywords of the low-performing group and increasing estimates of keywords of the high-performing group.

  • Patent number: 7575098
Abstract: A lift system and method for lifting or lowering items from one level to another within a building is accomplished by providing a lift platform. An upper level support structure having an opening is configured to allow passage of the platform through the opening. The opening is suspended above a generally open area of a lower level. An upper level frame is coupled to the support structure. A winch having a motor that rotates a drum is supported by the upper level frame. A length of cable secures at one end to the winch and at the other end to the platform through a biasing member. Operation of the winch rotates the drum to wind or unwind the cable to raise or lower the platform through the open area of the lower level without any laterally adjacent support or guidance structure within the open area.

  • Publication number: 20080034761
Abstract: the present invention relates to a method, apparatus and composition for making ice. Water is first filtered to a commercially pratical level of purity and then an additive is mixed with the water until a desired degree of total alkalinity, hardness, and/or turbidity is achieved. Water so processed has been found to produce, upon freezing, ice having a fast, hard, uniform surface that consistently resists rutting, chipping, cutting, sinking and sintering during use over an extended period of time.
