Abstract: A system and device for generating focused inspection recommendations and estimating a cost for reconditioning pre-owned vehicles. Embodiments of the invention provide for individualizing and streamlining the process of inspecting a pre-owned vehicle, and more particularly, for identifying components with historically high failure rates. Through analyzing several data inputs, including vehicle data, inspection and arbitration data, third-party data, and sensor data, a recommendation of a focused inspection of one or more components is provided. Additionally, the analysis further determines an estimated cost for reconditioning of the vehicle, based upon the analysis of the data inputs. The focused inspection recommendation and the estimated reconditioning cost can then be displayed to the inspector using a programmed user interface.

Abstract: System, method and media for the provision of relevant information, tax regulations and other advice for the preparation of the return to the user of the tax preparation system. This can be done by developing a profile of the taxpayer as the user moves through the process of preparing the tax return. When a user views a tip or help article, the impact on the outcome of the return is noted. If the impact is a positive one, then the tip or help article may be automatically presented to future users with similar taxpayer profiles. In this way, users can maximize the benefit of the return for the taxpayer while increasing the accuracy of the prepared return.

Bid offers may be presented to the seller on behalf of the buyer. When a vehicle price is agreed upon, a financial transaction and transportation of the vehicle may be facilitated by the matching system.
