  • Publication number: 20230170203
Abstract: A method of introducing and ejecting ions from an ion entry/exit device (4) is disclosed. The ion entry/exit device (4) has at least two arrays of electrodes (20,22). The device is operated in a first mode wherein DC potentials are successively applied to successive electrodes of at least one of the electrode arrays ((20,22) in a first direction such that a potential barrier moves along the at least one array in the first direction and drives ions into and/or out of the device in the first direction. The device is also operated in a second mode, wherein DC potentials are successively applied to successive electrodes of at least one of the electrode arrays (20,22) in a second, different direction such that a potential barrier moves along the array in the second direction and drives ions into and/or out of the device in the second direction. The device provides a single, relatively simple device for manipulating ions in multiple directions.

Abstract: A method of monitoring an ice protection system of a rotorcraft or an aircraft includes applying heat to rotating blades of the rotorcraft or the aircraft according to a heater duty cycle and determining an anticipated ice shed time for ice to shed from the rotating blades. Torque of the rotating blades is sensed, and an actual ice shed time for ice to shed from the rotating blades is determined based on the sensed torque. A status of the ice protection system is determined based on the anticipated ice shed time and the actual ice shed time, and the status of the ice protection system is output for consumption by a consuming system.

  • Publication number: 20230126497
Abstract: A document management system accesses a document signed by one or more parties. The document may indicate one or more events that the parties contracted to occur in relation to the time-based conditions. The document management system inputs the document to a machine-learned model configured to identify one or more time-based conditions indicated in the document. The document management system receives one or more time-based conditions from the machine-learned model. For each time-based condition, the document management system identifies a respective database that catalogs event information corresponding to the time-based condition. The document management system obtains the event information related to the time-based condition and determines whether the time-based condition has been met based on the event information. For each time-based condition that has not been met, the document management system transmits an alert to one or more of the parties.
