  • Publication number: 20220356891
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for coupling a first panel to a second panel via a fastener. The fastener having a cap, a shank, pair of wings, and one or more PIA-retention features. The shank defines a central longitudinal axis that is substantially perpendicular to the cap. The pair of wings is resiliently coupled to the shank at a distal end thereof. The pair of wings includes a first wing and a second wing, each angled away from the central longitudinal axis. In some examples, the one or more PIA-retention features can be a pair of whiskers resiliently coupled to the shank and angled away from the central longitudinal axis. Each of the pair of whiskers is substantially perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis. In other examples, the one or more PIA-retention features include a first fin resiliently coupled to and angled away from the first wing and a second fin resiliently coupled to and angled away from the second wing.

  • Patent number: 11421719
Abstract: A fastening clip is provided for fastening to one or more support structures. The fastening clip includes a clip body and a seal. The seal is disposed around a peripheral edge of the clip body and includes a first end and a sealing foot, the first end engaging the clip body, the sealing foot projecting from the first end to a second end such that the second end is disposed radially outwardly from the first end, and the second end being radially aligned with or disposed radially inwardly from the peripheral edge of the collar in an uninstalled configuration. In an installed configuration, the circumferential seal is configured to flex against a support structure in response to applied pressure between the seal and the support structure so that the second end is disposed radially outwardly from the peripheral edge of the collar.

  • Patent number: 11261899
Abstract: A fastener includes a body, a fastener head having a flange extend radially outward from the body, and a plurality of shoulders that extend outwardly from the body. The body also includes a finger that extends from one end of each of the shoulders. The body further includes a plurality of cutouts positioned on the body between the shoulders. The body is flexible along the cutouts. The fingers are also flexible and cooperate with a plurality of locking features of a first component to sufficiently hold the first component and a second component between the fingers and the flange.

  • Patent number: 10100860
Abstract: A fluid control system may include a fluid conduit defining a fluid passage, and a fluid metering assembly in fluid communication with the fluid passage. The fluid metering assembly may include a metering valve rotatably secured within an internal chamber. An actuator may be coupled to the metering valve. A control unit may be coupled to the actuator. The control unit is configured to operate the actuator to rotate the metering valve between an open position in which fluid flows through the fluid passage and a closed position in which the fluid is prevented from flowing through the fluid passage. The control unit is configured to operate the actuator to rotate the metering valve into a pressure relief position beyond the closed position that is configured to allow a reduced portion of the fluid to flow through the fluid passage.
