Abstract: Some embodiments of a smokeless tobacco system include one or more preformed smokeless tobacco products configured to generally retain their shape during processing, shipping, and consumer handling. In particular embodiments, each smokeless tobacco product can comprise a moist smokeless tobacco in combination with a selected binder such that the final product is configured to have material properties providing improved handling, an improved mouth feel, and a satisfying flavor profile.

Abstract: A melt-blown fabric for pouching smokeless tobacco or a smokeless tobacco substitute can include melt-blown polymer fibers. The fabric can have a basis weight of less than 30 gsm and a tensile strength of at least 4mJ in at least one predetermined direction. Method of making the fabric can include melt-blowing a polymeric material against a support surface and bonding the fibers or arranging them in a predetermined orientation. Pouched smokeless tobacco or tobacco substitute products including the fabrics provided herein can provide desirable flavor and tactile experience.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques for establishing communication between a user device in a passcode-locked stated and a computing device associated with an emergency contact are described. In one example, a method includes receiving, by a first computing device, a request to communicate with an emergency contact while the first computing device is in a passcode-locked state. The request may be received via a passcode lock screen displayed at the first computing device, the passcode-locked state may restrict access to the first computing device, and the emergency contact may be one of at least one emergency contact preselected by a user. The example method also includes, responsive to receiving the request, initiating, by the first computing device, a communication service on the first computing device during the passcode-locked state, and transmitting, via the communication service, data from the first computing device to a second computing device associated with the emergency contact.

Abstract: A ventable container comprising a container bottom having an inner cavity, the container bottom further having a side wall that terminates in a container rim; and a selectively detachable lid, the lid including a central panel and peripheral sealing lip that surrounds the panel, the peripheral sealing lip having a generally inverted U-shaped cross-section that defines a lid channel, the lid channel being adapted to receive the container rim, the lid channel being further adapted to position the lid at a first position wherein sealed engagement of the container is effectuated and at a first position relative to the container rim wherein an air passage from the inner cavity to the container surroundings is provided.

Abstract: The present invention consists of an inexpensive tight sealing plastic container suited for microwave cooking, top-shelf dishwashing and freezer use. In accordance with a preferred embodiment, the container is provided with two compartments, one large and one small. The container utilizes a dual cut-back closure device of which the retaining bead of the container bottom maintains the container top in a secure position. The inside dimensions of the container top are slightly larger than the container bottom in both compartments. The difference in sizes provides an interference fit and forms a substantially leak proof seal along the inside perimeter of both compartments of the container. The container top provides at least one gripping tab, which facilitates the separation of the container top from the container bottom and permit container venting.
