  • Publication number: 20230349604
Abstract: An integrated receiver drier and economizer (RDE) includes a tank having a hollow interior receiving a first flow of a refrigerant therein, the first flow of the refrigerant including a liquid phase of the refrigerant accumulating within a liquid containing portion of the hollow interior of the tank. An economizer receiving a second flow of the refrigerant through an interior thereof is at least partially submerged in the liquid containing portion of the tank. The economizer forms a heat exchanging structure configured to exchange heat between the first flow of the refrigerant passing over an exterior of the economizer and the second flow of the refrigerant passing through the interior of the economizer. A desiccant is disposed in the liquid containing portion of the tank downstream of the economizer with respect to the first flow of the refrigerant through the hollow interior of the tank.

  • Publication number: 20150343166
Abstract: A full body drying system is an apparatus that can dry a full body with forced air, measure the weight of the body, and provide other health enhancing functions. The apparatus comprises a lower frame, and an upper frame, a blower unit, a foot plate, and a weighing scale. The lower frame and the upper frame provide the other components of the apparatus with the proper structural support. Once the user steps onto the foot plate, the blower unit provides the motorized forced air carrying massive amount of anions, which is used to dry and also to invigorate the body, and simultaneously the body weight is measured and displayed. In addition, around the user's feet area, UV light combined with antimicrobial plastic material used for the foot plate provide effective disinfection of the user's feet, which is further enhanced by the disinfecting ability of anions in the forced air stream.

  • Publication number: 20150201800
Abstract: Cookware is provided having a multi-layer base including a heat contacting layer having a bottom surface for contacting a heat source, and an upper cooking layer having an upper surface for cooking food. The heat contacting layer's periphery engages the upper cooking layer's periphery with said heat contacting layer's upper surface spaced apart from the upper cooking layer's lower surface to form a central cavity. The cookware includes a heat transfer member located within this cavity. The heat transfer member includes a housing forming a ring shaped interior chamber. Infrared emitting stone granules, such as in powder form, is dispersed throughout the chamber to form a ring shaped region which emits infrared rays, and preferably far infrared rays, when heated.

  • Publication number: 20100051626
Abstract: Cookware and cooking methods with improved temperature control. The temperature of the cooking surface of the cookware is limited by providing an air channel to allow heated air to circulate between layers of conductive material in the base of the cookware and an air ventilating hole to allow excessive hot air to escape. The cookware may also have a plurality of layers of conductive material such as metal interspersed with one or more layers of a mineral such as jade or other heat-radiating materials. This cookware structure permits heating or cooking food at a controlled temperature, even without the presence of water or other liquid, over a long period of time while maintaining the temperature within the desired range.

  • Publication number: 20080305015
Abstract: An improved lighting and ionic air purifying device for both lighting and improving the air quality of a room or space. The device includes a light source such as a compact fluorescent lamp and an anion generator with a metal fiber brush which reduces or eliminates ozone production. The improved device provides extended lamp life and increased dispersion of ions into the ambient air in the room or space. The device may also include a photocatalyst coating on the lamp to further purify the air.

  • Patent number: 6612128
Abstract: Accumulator (10, 100) for an air-conditioning system. The inlet (58) fluid separation can be controlled, and there is control of the amount of compressor oil in circulation through an adjustable coupling between the interior and the outlet passage (56). Desiccating material (48) can be accommodated in many orientations, and can be made of various materials. The accumulator (10, 100) embodies an outer housing (12, 14) of two or more pieces and an inner liner (16) that is of one or more pieces. The inlet (58) directs the refrigerant into the inner volume formed by the liner (16), wherein the liquid refrigerant and compressor oil are contained and insulated from the wall (12, 14) of the outer housing.
