  • Publication number: 20070246031
Abstract: An on-off controller, according to various aspects of the present invention, for controlling a pressurized fluid from a provided bottle, the bottle having a poppet valve biased in a closed position, wherein the pressurized fluid flows from the bottle when the poppet valve is open, the on-off controller includes a body, a seal, a rod, and a position mechanism. The body having a cavity, an inlet, an outlet, and a vent, the inlet and the outlet having continuous fluid communication with the cavity, the vent having sealable fluid communication with the cavity. The seal having a bore therethrough, the seal for sealing the vent. The a rod having a first end portion, a second end portion, and a middle portion between the first end portion and the second end portion, the middle portion having a groove therein, the rod positioned in the bore.

  • Patent number: 7159612
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for regulating fluid pressure are described. A fluid regulator with relatively large passages and a high-pressure reserve may improve performance when the regulator is used in a sustained sequence. A smaller area stem piston may make the regulated pressure more independent of the input pressure.

  • Patent number: 6983761
Abstract: An apparatus for regulating fluid pressure comprising an inlet for accepting fluid at high pressure and an outlet for supplying fluid at a predetermined pressure to the device that requires fluid flow. A piston and seal form the valve used to regulate the fluid pressure at the outlet. Another aspect of the invention is a high-pressure chamber to that provides a reserve of fluid for continuous regulated pressure during periods of sustained use. The regulated pressure is adjustable using a sphere and ramp mechanism. One embodiment of the invention is adapted for use with a paintball marker.
